The room was clean, the location perfect and the bed was extremly comfortable I did not like getting a call from David the day before we were travelling to say that the hotel had been overbooked and unfortunately it was our room that had been overbooked. I wondered why ours? When we had booked a month previously and got it at a good rate as we not able to cancel. (Although this obviously did not work both ways) There was no apology just that he had found a alternative hotel for us at no extra cost to ourselves. When checking the laternative hotel was cheaper. My Husband called David back to express our disappointment at which time we were told ok don't worry come here and I will find you a room, still no apology!! We had booked this trip as a Birthday treat and this did spoil the trip a little. The Bathroom and Bedroom were both very small and the whole hotel looked like it needed an update.

Staff are cheerful and friendly Hotel standard is poor regards facilities, food & comfort. Our room was directly above kitchen and some machinery (ice maker I think) was operating all night making quite a racket.....NO Sleep :~(.

Helpful staff, beautiful surroundings,a lovely characterful bulding, good restuarant Lack of residents lounge.Although the hotel has a cosy bar which is opened to all, it would be nice to have another space to sit and relax with some newspapers or a good book.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Breafast excellent. Also dinner on one night. Position of hotel good. We found our room Rather basic and small. Large black damp patch over door. Also bed although comfortable was very small for 2 people. Only 4ft. THe decor of the room very tired and required updating.

The building and location are beautiful. I thought the staff were excellent. Bedroom was very nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom condition was very poor, felt very sad and unloved. Some issues with cleanliness-teaspoons dirty.

Comfortable clean room that was a good size. Gentleman at reception tried to relocate us to a more convenient room as I had a knee injury when we arrived. Evening meals at restaurant were quite good, and staff were excellent, especially Kiri.

Everything was above expectations. Me and my wife were very happy with the location in the village. The room was superb, with an extraordinary view. The restaurant was exquisite on all dining occasions and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We both loved the time spent at the Old Manse Hotel. The only "bad" thing we can say is that the bathroom walls were a bit mouldy, but didn't disturb our time at all.

Lovely setting in Bourton. Beds very comfy and rooms clean. Restaurant staff very nice and helpful. Staff in bar were chatty and friendly and nothing too much trouble. Asked for a quiet room and was given one above the kitchen with aircon duct outside window. When I mention to manager he blamed Booking.com for not passing on request. Hotel full so no other room available. Bedroom nice but bathroom tatty, taps held together with sellotape and towel rail hanging out of wall. No toiletries in bathroom. Had to pay an additional £6 for them if required. All in all I felt you were paying a premium rate for a less than premium hotel because of location. A pleasant stay that could have very easily been great, given a little more attention to detail.

The hotel was excellent and the staff were caring and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Creaking floorboards in the upper floor. Sometimes it felt as if other people were in the room.

If you are lodged in the main building the rooms are excellent. However the outer buildings are less than disreable. For those making a booking over the internet need to ensure the location of their room before confirming their bookings. I was pleased with the hotels response to my level of disatisfaction.

The location is lovely. The staff were helpful. The bedroom was very small. It would have been nice to have a bottle of water in the room. There was very little space to put clothes although there was quite a lot of 'hanging' room.
