Location was great. Fact you had pub attached was good and food nice value for money.

Put in attached cottage. Smelt and in need of updating but bath was filthy and shower water only just warm. H & S issue with low door and no signage!

The old character of the building

    1. Very limited parking facilities certainly not helped by staff using the car park. Should be reserved for guests only.. 2. Shower room in room covered in mould. Very off putting.

The location of this Hotel was excellent, however, the Old Manse is in serious need of renovation to enhance the quality of its position and comfort. The breakfast (not included in the price) was also good. WiFi was good.

The room size was very poor as was the ensuite. Bathroom/ toilet was very dirty and lacked regular and thorough cleaning. Carpets in corridors and entrance ways were very dirty and smelt musty. The car park was very small and restricted.

    Location was perfect

Rooms very small but ok as very old property. Walls had lots of dirty splash marks on walls in bathroom and bedroom. Double room had 2 beds pushed together so gapped in middle.

Staff were so lovely and friendly. Lovely area as soon as you stepped out of the pub. Bed was very comfortable good hospitality tray.

Needs a bit more detail to cleanliness.

The staff and their helpfulness in general The pub atmosphere downstairs

The rooms are tiny- and there's no e.g. armchair to read a book in as there is no room for one. Although I appreciate it is mid season, there were a lot of things that made the whole place look dirty and unkempt. Stains on the walls around the wash basin in the bathroom of Room 6 for example. A painting in the main dining/breakfast room that had fallen off its fixtures and not been rehung. The creaking floorboards inside and outside the rooms make for a quaint, if unrestful, atmosphere. The one cooked breakfast we tried, Eggs Benedict , was cooked by someone who I would judge had never seen, or sampled, the dish properly cooked in his/her life! In short my expectations were of an English Country Hotel rather than the pub B&B that the Old Manse turned out to be. I shall do my best to avoid Old English Inns in the future.

Not being told there would be a Wedding Receiption on Saturday, and not being told when booking. Menu for dinner could have more dishes. Not very good value for the prices.

    Location.

Wifi connection could not get connected hot water coming through cold tap bathroom very small shower could do with being regrouted mildew round the base toilet seat was lose decor very dated parking there is 15 rooms and only 11 spaces so if you go out for the day no chance of getting a space on Sunday they do a roast dinner for £9.99 for two after 5pm but when we ordered this they said they had ran out so we had to find something else on the main menu which we did but the meal was not that good also struggled with that as there was not a very good selection to choose from we stayed for 3 nights at £70 per night thought was expensive as breakfast was extra at £6.95 each. I wish we could have found a Premier Inn in the area as we will not be returning there the standard at premier is five star this hotel struggles to get two stars.

Perfect location. Spotless room. Friendly helpful staff. Enjoyable evening meal. Can't believe people moan about creaky floorboards in a building that's 400yrs old!

    Everything fine

Lovely location right by the river Windrush. Staff were friendly and the evening meal was good. The room was large and the bed comfy.

My bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly. When I complained, I was offered an alternative room. However, this was right next to a noisy extractor fan and so I stuck with the original. The room was large but the standard of decor was pretty much Travelodge and quite scruffy and scuffed in places. The bathroom was minute. A shame as this hotel, with its lovely setting, has the potential to be stunning. At the moment it is overpriced for what it offers.

    Location was great!

We were in the annex and the bathroom was very tight, to put it mildly. Breakfast was 6.95 pounds per person extra.

The staff were very accomodating Very comfy bed and pillows (though a full size mattress protector should be a must)

Very short staffed, garden at front not cleaned till about 10am following day. Napkins, rubbish and glasses still in evidence. Back garden also unkempt and tired, dead hanging baskets! Bathroom quite clean but dirty grouting and bath frontage coming away, old and tired. Basically needs to have an overhaul!
