Home-made and home cooked meals, exceptionally friendly welcome, location for hill walking, great views.

A few ants on my sheets. Not a major problem for me, but others might be more squeamish. I have stayed here before and this was very much a one-off!

We really liked the hotel, just as well we had GPS or would probably not have found this lovely spot. We drive past frequently and had no idea where it was. Lovely place to stay. Very friendly and lovely breakfast.

We stayed in a few hotels as we headed down south, all good and booked via booking.com. This was the most expensive place to stay. We will stay again however as it is the height of the season for Scotland.

Easiest way to sum up Old Pines hotel is warm, friendly: you feel like you have snuggled into a cozy blanket, the whole building seems to wrap itself round you and the staff are friendly.

The location of the hotel was fantastic and the service was exemplary and went above and beyond what was necessary. Sadly one of our group had to be taken to hospital following a fall on Ben Nevis. When we got back after 11 pm we were given complementary hot soup and their fantastic home made bread .. greatly appreciated after a long and stressful day.

The room, and the bathroom. Plenty of hot water. The location was perfect as I had my dog with me and really enjoyed the walks.

People banging the doors especially the door going out of hotel. Maybe a polite notice could be placed asking people to shut doors quietly no matter what time of day it was.

Rustic hotel in a beautiful rural setting but not far from town. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Free wi-fi worked well.

Not as soundproof as some hotels.

Friendly and beautifully presented. Nothing was too much trouble. Would certainly return and recommend very highly indeed. Quality of food was very tasty and well presented, with a quality wine list, and little extras like free tea and biscuits when we arrived, together with pre dinner drinks make so much difference. Room was pleasantly decorated, clean and comfortable, and bathroom and ascessories also. The proprietor also collected and dropped us back at the Great Glen Way. Really enjoyed our stay ...thank you.

    Nothing at all!

If you want a relaxing tranquil time in beautiful countryside & lovely views this is the place. There is also a very good food menu and wine list. It is the ideal venue to switch off and forget all problems. Great unobtrusive but efficient service.
