Availabilty of "single room" prices for an individual - essential for those on their own. Comfortable room & excellent walk-in shower. Amenable host. Excellent breakfast. An enjoyable relaxing stay for some remote Corbett bagging in spite of inclement weather. Room sound transmission disturbing sleep but tolerable.

The location was beautiful and I felt very welcomed - a pot of tea provided on arrival. Very courteous staff and excellent service all round. Room was not huge but very comfortable and clean with lots of little extras thought about and provided. Evening meal and breakfast very good with fantastic service.

Some food organic, local, seasonal eggs from own free-range chickens homemade food rooms tastefully decorated lovely countryside location fair price for single occupancy nice atmosphere in lounge being picked up from public transport to-die-for homemade truffles great & beautiful bathroom/shower For an organic hotel I would have liked organic teas in the hospitality tray being told I was picked up at the bus stop but no-one there, having to phone bathroom heater was going all night - noise & waste of energy very thin walls – noise from neighbouring room's tv

The Hotel Staff were very friendly and accomodating. There was a "family" atmosphere to the hotel. The rooms were rather small and lacked a refrigerator (though staff did store my goods in the hotel fridge). The restaurant food was quite nice but portions were rather small for the price.

We were very pleased with this gem and were sorry that we were only staying one night. Excellent personal service which is so much better than staying at a chain hotel. Food at dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Also pet friendly with no extra charge for Missus Dog.

The room was small and cosy, and the bathroom was lovely. We can't recommend the hotel enough! The breakfast was out of this world and the staff were more than happy to be helpful, and let you eat your breakfast at leisure, which was magnificently prepared and thoroughly enjoyable! Can't recommend this hotel enough!

The staff were all incredibly friendly and accommodating, the hotel was beautifully decorated with clean comfy rooms and big hot showers, the location was also wonderful - breakfast and dinner looking out at gardens and beyond that mountains. Speaking of which – the food was delicious. Good location for climbing Ben Nevis, for which they provided packed-lunch with cakes and muffins. I would visit again and highly recommend. Nothing to complain about.

Everything about Old Pines Hotel was lovely, a fab base for walking/activity holidays, plus great for children as the rope swing and free range hens provided lots of entertainment. A welcoming cup of tea was always offered on our return to the Hotel, and the breakfasts were delicious !!

The staff was amazing- so accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was the best I've had on a 12 day trip in the uk. Farm fresh eggs- yum! The rooms are simple and nice. Setting is amazing- the views out of the dining room are incredible. I would definitely go back!
