The Old Rectory is a peaceful and leafy oasis in the heart of the North West. Recently refurbished, it now offers the highest level of comfort and every modern facility. Yet it has not lost any of its Victorian charm and appeal.

The Priory Restaurant, long acknowledged as one of the finest restaurants in the district with its reputation for classic English cuisine, exquisitely prepared and presented, continues to flourish to this day. The well appointed Chalice Bar, set against the ever-changing backdrop of the colourful walled garden, provides a perfect setting in which to relax and dine in the most refined style.

The hotel is ideally located for the Trafford Centre, Manchester city centre, Manchester Central Convention Complex (formerly GMEX), Old Trafford (home of Manchester Utd FC) and The City of Manchester Stadium (home of Manchester City FC).

Food & beverage

The Brasserie style Priory Restaurant is neither classical or nouvelle, but has its roots in the first and is influenced by the second. It's aim is to take advantage of only the finest freshest produce,purchased locally supplying our diners with from French to Thai Cuisine

Room information

Newly designed and attractively fitted, all our 36 bedrooms are furnished to the highest standards.

Six of our bedrooms are located in Chad's House, overlooking the garden. Guests also have full use of the hotel mini-gym. A treadmill, rowing machine, weights and multi-gym are all available to help keep our visiors active.

A stunning view of our garderns is available from the rooms. With koi carp swimming in the pond, a variety of oak and fir trees and a mature gardern.

Andrew Young couple York, United Kingdom December 31, 2010	It was away from any main roads so no noisy traffic. The food was great. Staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be. The room was lovely - cosy and warm during a cold winter. When breakfast staff arrive they are not very good at talking quietly. Was woken at 6.30am by staff talking loudly, not thinking that customers would be asleep above them or near them. The hotel service guides (in the rooms) need a little updating as they have several spelling mistakes - doesn't look good. Both issues were reported on departure. Reception staff were friendly but nothing seemed 'efficient' - lack of experience perhaps, or too few staff. Hotel not keeping up with other hotels of similar rating. On check in, was taken to 2 rooms already being used. Eventually upgraded due to mix up - was nice but just doesn't look professional. Did you find this review helpful?	7.1
