Old Thorns Manor Hotel Golf & Country Estate  

This hotel was located in an excellent location with lovely views over the countryside and golf course. One of the nicest hotels I've ever had the privilege to stay in and it was excellent value for money. I was really made to feel welcome by the helpful and efficient staff. It also had one of the largest hotel swimming pools I have ever seen.

Very nice surroundings, staff, second to none. Room could be updated, but very clean. The purpose of our stay was to attend a wedding, we would highly recommend as venue to friends.

The location and setting were good and seem to be ideal for the forthcoming wedding of my daughter.

Disappointed that the pool and gym weren't available and thought that charging £1.50 for a 55p newspaper was excessive.

We attended a wedding at the Old Thorns and booked for overnight stay. It was a lovely venue. Our room was fab. Massive bed that was so comfortable. It was lovely and warm all through the night. ( I do not like the cold) There were different bars you could go in. Breakfast the next day was excellent. Only problem was it all ended too soon.

On arrival our booking could not be found but receptionist booked us in regardless with ease. Very friendly staff particularly James in the restaurant. Good sized room, clean & comfortable with a very large bed.

Dirty linen and food from rooms left in corridors of hotel. Staff not very helpful at times. Was not able to book into the spa as they were fully booked. Toilet not working in swimming changing rooms.

Everthing was quite new. Room was big and comfortable. Facilities were excellent. Golf course was good but the greens weren't in particularly good condition but that was probably due to the time of year. Certainly worth another visit in the summer.

Antrim Bar was not open not quite sure why and nobody could tell us either.

The site of the hotel is very country and pleasant. Huge well spaced car park. Nice, convenient Reception area. All Staff encountered pleasant and professional. Room (Superior) excellent with a wonderfully comfortable bed (Queen size). Bathroom excellent with all facilities in working order. Food in restaurant excellent - the Carvery particularly liked. Breakfast good and efficient.

Noisy door closers - or rather the people who always let them bang - a problem of most hotels. This hotel is still being refurbished which can be a little annoying but inevitable these days. Not enough mixed fruit at the breakfast bar.

We had my daughters wedding there and it could not have been more perfect, the setting was wonderful and the helpful staff ensured everything went smoothly, I could not thank them enough

We were at Old Thorns for a wedding, food fantastic as was the service, Old Thorns is a beautiful place, only got one moan and that is trivial, more toilet paper in rooms, no spare in bathroom cupboard. Our experience was lovely we had a great weekend at Old Thorns.

Only one and that is not really a complaint, Bacon and eggs could of been hotter, bacon was cold.

Nice location, staff very friendly and helpful. Everything of a good quality

Lighting in bedroom was somewhat dark. Warm in room and at Sunday breakfast. Was there air conditioning?

Simply, a fantastic stay. We held my daughters marriage there and the staff, food and service was fantastic. Will definitley stay again.
