Lovely hotel nice big rooms with beautiful scenery would be great for weddings
Love the tradition building reception areas and dining area lovely although the decor in rooms could do with being updated but still keeping that country look and feel
Excellent venue with willing friendly staff who really made a special occasion a time to remeber. Well done to all and what a lovely room... in a great location?!!
The staff members were amazing and our meal was delicious. The room was dated, but wonderfully spacious and functional.
Just about everything ! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, & although we only stayed for 2 nights, we were treated as if we were spending 2 weeks there. Next time it could well be two weeks!!
nothing of any importance. It would be an insult to the staff to try and find something to say!
A nice comfortable hotel in a rural location with great views. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was excellent. Well worth paying the extra for.
A bit chilly in the morning. Could have done with the heating on a bit earlier. But it was a very cold morning!
Excellent place to stay and Location is just wonderful, Had a very pleasant stay indeed and would definitely recommend.
Staff are always pleasant.
Arriving at a hotel which was in near darkness due to almost all lights being out and having no heating in our room on arrival at 7pm even though it was only just above freezing outside. Heating did not come on until 7:30 am the next day.
Atmosphere was fantastic and superb location, the building is a pleasure to be in with superb facilities and great food. breakfast was one of the best i've ever tried. The Orangery i was corrected from conservatory is a huge addition to the hotel
shower was outdated and not functioning correctly but forgot to mention this to the owner.
food for connoisseurs,not consumers.
bar closed at 11.00pm.
Lovely building, friendly staff, superb breakfast, excellent restaurant.
Starting with small things The Tv was blurred. No duvets just blankets and sheets. The heating was switched off at night so it was quite cold. The worst thing was a shower. I have never had such a stressful shower. The water was switching from calm to piping hot in the matter of seconds and was impossible to control. No internet in the Superior room as there is only one router at the reception so the signal is too weak in the second floor.Ooh ,and the restaurant is ridiculously overpriced. 28£ for 2 course meal. And 4.75 for a beer. Its more expensive than central London.
The location, peacefulness, superb room and with welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff
Sorry, but the evening menu wasn't to our palate, but we did know this before travelling.
Twin room was very roomy. Staff were very helpful. Hotel in general is a beautiful building with a lot of character features.
Dead flies abounded due to cow field outside, one radiator couldn't be turned off: room was very hot. Wifi didn't work due to local fault.
The restaurant was excellent.
WiFi did not work. Was not configured to provide an IP address etc. Very poor shower with fluctuations in temperature and pressure. - plumber definitely needed!
Location, staff, relaxing environment, and incredible food from the restarant. The bed was so comfortable - not many around!
the only thing we can comment on is that the bedroom decor was looking a little bit tired and could do with upgrading. `
A very nice place set in large gardens with a drive up to the front of the house. Plenty of parking space. Warm and comftable, good breakfast with friendly service.
Staff and breakfast were great
room was very tired and in need of a refurb.
Everything, rooms was lovely and let us check out bit later as we woke up late.cant comment about food as we didnt eat there.
The only thing was there didnt seem to have a lot of taxis to pick up from the hotel to get into bridgnorth but getting back wasnt a problem.
The staff were friendly, the room was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable.
The shower could perhaps be updated.
Superb food, well presented. Attentive but not intrusive staff. Peaceful location, comfortable accommodation.
Staff friendliness FANTASTIC FOOD Reasonable priced wines Heating on as we arrived Good room rate Room upgrade Closeness to interesting twons
We only stayed one night but what we experience was very good. If we are in the area again we mould like to use your hotel.
Received a very pleasant welcome upon arrival. The whole hotel was very clean and well maintained and had a very homely feel about it. The room was comfortable and the en-suite facilities were excellant. Thanks to the countryside location and blinds which blocked out the exterior flood lighting completely I had a few good noghts sleep with only the occassional hoot from the resident owls. The menu looked very appetising although unfortunately I was unable to sample any due to work commitments.
I made several unsuccessful attempts over a couple of nights to get internet access over the wi-fi hence the low score on facilities. I was told that this was a temporary situation which the hotel was trying to rectify.
I like everything about this hotel. I have stayed several times before and will hopefully stay again
A very nice quiet secluded hotel close to Bridgenorth and golf courses
No draught cider
