Did enjoy our stay room nice early morning walk very nice horses and larma's a bonus to see breakfast well presented good choice there.
We were not shown to our room just pointed in the direction, and when returning at night found the complex a bit dark discovered outside light had to be switched on in side not a sensor light very dark by lake
The location was lovely and surrounded by lowing sheep. The staff were very accommodating to all requests and made every effort to assist when they could and ensure we were comfortable. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very filling!
The WIFI was hit and miss and we couldn't connect in our room and had to go to the public areas to use the internet. The local pub, the Greyhound was alright but very busy. I recommend making reservations at the local dining establishments to ensure a table. We could hear the neighbouring room to ours which was rather disruptive to sleep but once they settled it was very peaceful! When visiting from abroad, the road signage is pretty tricky in the area causing a lot of backtracking to find the hotel. Satnav would have been a good idea!
Staff efficiency,comfort and cleanliness
Staff in restaurant very helpful and most courteous. We enjoyed our breakfast very much and equally our conversation with their staff. In this area of life it's all about people! Well done Oldwalls!
The standout feature was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. It was mid-December in atrocious weather, but it felt like home.
Lovely, well equipped suite, perfect for our family, two adults a 12 year old and 10 year old. Would definitely come back.
Lovely setting, beautiful rooms and quite central to the area we wanted to see
Nothing all excellent
The bedroom was very small which made it difficult to relax. The photographs on their website were rather misleading.
Nice setting, done out to a pretty good standard. Good shower. We got the booking at a reduced rate, which was good. I would not have been happy to have paid the full price (see what I didn't like)
Not 5*. I would say good 4*. Cobwebs in bedroom and bathroom. Cheap, small TV. Limited extras (tea/coffee facilities and minimal bathroom provision). It is an "Events" location and not geared up to be a Hotel/B&B really. Felt a bit like we were staying a in a more upmarket hostel.
Attractive setting positioned away from main road.
Limited dining (breakfast only). Catering mainly for wedding parties with much late night (noisy) revelry!
It was clean, receptionist and mangeres were very friendly and good looking and the view from the room over the fishing ponds was fantastic, lovely.
Had to sleep with patio doors open as there wasn't ventilation or a good size window to open for fresh air. But as your out in the country side it wasn't a problem for me, doors wide open lovely.
Standard of the accommodation was very high
Wedding on the Sunday felt geared up to that not 'norma' guests, felt like an inconvenience to the staff! No bar and no restaurant - very odd how it is 5* without these facilities
Nice rural setting, modern buildings with attractive gardens, good quality furniture & fixtures, quiet at night, plenty of parking, central location on Gower, friendly helpful receptionist.
Breakfast not included in the price, breakfast was a shambles (coffee machine exploded, staff untrained) - & we had to pay c £10 each, had to ask for the advertised fridge for the room, nowhere to hang clothes in the room, no chair, risky walk to the only local pub, no walks from the site, noisy from 8 am with staff/contractors at reception (we had the room next door).
