it was very central and wonderful views from the room

the doors on the entrance were far to heavy for my elderly mother to use i am sure they just need a little alteration as they were not easy with luggage.

Breakfast was nice.

The hotel was on the first floor of the building it was in - and there was no lift. My friend and I struggled getting up to the reception area with a 2 year old, a stroller, and luggage. It would have been nice to have known that ahead of time.

Staff were most helpful, especially the porters as we laden with luggage and needed to leave it in storage until we could get into our rooms and again on the day of departure we needed to store the luggage until 5pm.

We had two rooms (one on the 2nd floor opposite the lift and the other on 3rd floor opposite lift). We were unable as a family to be placed on the same floor or near to each other as the hotel was booked up and couldn't change the rooms. The hotel was overwhelming with the smell of air freshners, almost to the point of setting off my Mothers' asthma. The hotel still smelt of cigarettes.

the food was good although a very limited menu for dinner breakfasts were good the staff were excellent

very small bathroom and very high sided and small bath and the pillows were very hard and there was a very strong smell of something in the stairwells and bar area at times quite overpowering
