Very easy to find Good parking Matttress, bedlinen and towels all excellent. Plenty of storage Very good wifi Swimming pool Staff very helpful
Very friendly staff and a good breakfast. Sparkling clean.
Mattress was too hard for me.
Helpfulness of the staff. Reasonable priced food and drink
Good location close to town centre, large room with balcony, plenty of free parking. Staff were friendly.
I think the hotel was converted from an office block and thinks like ceiling tiles and a building column in the middle of the room made it feel a little that way. The swimming pool is adequate and clean enough and is open to the public as part of the leisure centre. The decor in the pool area is more leisure centre than hotel standard.
Double room was great, spacious, good en suite, four poster bed!! Close to the high street with plenty of choice for eating / drinking out, food prices within hotel cheap but limited menu.
Sauna was not working. Breakfast doesn't start until 7.00am
Spacious, comfortable room. Good breakfast.
Would have liked croissants at breakfast
Quality of drinks in rooms
That my visit ended
Lovely helpful staff, the room was a good size & had everything you could have wanted. I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
very good value for money. clean, comfortable accommodation, excellent service, polite attentive staff, very good breakfast . would defiantly return
Good Location and facilities.
The staff were nice and welcoming
We had to change rooms due to the door lock not working. The room we got was not very good, marks on the walls lipstick mark on the bathroom door which we clean off our selfs.the bath towels were very rough the room it's self was also very basic for what we had booked, the chairs in the room had marks on and when you sat on them u sank into them at the back which made them uncomfortable for me. When having a shower the shower door allowed water to leak out on to the floor which we had to clean up so not to slip. My husband didn't sleep well due to a party going on under our room and then at just after 12:30am the banging as the staff put away the things was so loud that it kept him awake. Breakfast was taste less and not a lot to really to pick from. Even tho we got the room at a less price I still think for what we got we should've got more off we will not stay here again
Room was immaculate with comfortable beds. We didn't eat at night but heard good comments from other guests. Included breakfast was good with a good mix of items. Reasonably priced bar for a hotel. We will return.
Absolutely nothing to dislike.
Breakfast OK, room tidy and clean
Had to go to Bar to find someone to check us in at reception. We Asked for a quiet room and was placed in a room next to the boiler that gurgled and hissed all night
A bit tatty, a generic modern(ish) hotel, not the grand building you would expect from the name.
Although not the most attractive of hotels we booked a room last minute as we couldn't find anything else in the Ely area. We were both delighted with the room we were given which was not in the main building. Large, very clean and very tastefully decorated. A choice of still and sparkling water and hot drinks and very nice smelling bath gel and shampoo. We visited the restaurant in the evening and had a wonderful meal, once again great value for money. Never judge a book by its cover!
The exterior of the hotel could do with sprucing up. Would have preferred 2 pillows but that's only a personal preference. That we made a mistake and stayed in a different place the night before...it looked nice in the photo....
We stayed at the Oliver Cromwell to attend a family birthday party and were very pleasantly surprised as on arrival the outside looked quite uninspiring. However our rooms were spacious, clean and well furnished, with a great shower in the bathroom! very nice breakfast and pleasant staff.
Close to centre, family rooms near each other
location and the discounted price. Size of rooms.
It was OK. it was a late night arrival and early morning departure so didn't see much of it.
We have stayed in the Cromwell before. It is very well placed to either just go walking or drive to nearby points of interest. It seemed better this time than last, possibly because of more mature staff, all very friendly & helpful. The breakfast is possibly the best one's we have had in a hotel & are recommended, the food in the restrant is excellent & should be tried. Over-all a good stay.
Very difficult locks in room 24, all door's in room. Air con. noise, even though we didn't use our's we could still hear it droning!!!
Warm friendly welcome, help with my wife in her wheelchair.Very nice big room (26) A very good night's sleep on a hot night made better for the air con! Excellent hot breakfast
Refurbishment means the hotel has improved immensely. Room was very clean. Everything working in the bathroom. Friendly staff. Great breakfast.
WE were both very impressed with the friendly staff. The breakfast was good and the accommodation comfortable and clean
It was convenient for my trip, but would try and find a better hotel in future
Reception area was appalling, it looked like a messy office with documents all over the place, not appealing at all.
- Fantastic staff, great location, very clean and comfortable facilities - The hot chocolate which was added to the usual selection of teas and coffee was a very nice touch
The set up of the hotel can be a bit confusing the first time one arrives as some of the rooms are in a separate building.
The amount of staff and the friendliness of everyone. Braekfast was great. Sorry we missed the timings of the swimming pool, but that was our fault. Well done everybody! Thank you.
