Rooms clean nice white bed lining staff very helpful food breakfast very good
Carpets stained in places
Helpful friendly staff, large airy room with a balcony, comfortable bed. All round good experience.
The staff were friendly welcoming and efficient. The hotel had good facilities and my stay away from home for work was made as comfortable as possible.
Room Tea & Coffee Sufficient chairs in room
Shower Bathroom light could not be turned off Receptionist could have been more welcoming on arrival
Staff friendly and helpful. Spacious room Hot, powerful shower Relaxing lounge/dining area Bar meals very good value-no need to go off site. Breakfast good
décor on dark side -would benefit from uplift , but then would be more expensive and not such good value. Biggest gripe for us was that health suite was closing when we arrived Saturday afternoon. Last entry 4.45pm !! After very long journey we were looking forward to relaxing swim. This was one of main reasons for choosing this hotel.
Gym and leisure facilities.
Food and service
Poor Wi-Fi in room
Leisure Facilities were excellent and the evening dinner was great value for money - service excellent
The location of the hotel is good. The room was spacious and clean with good facilities, but again a little tired. The staff were helpful and courteous. Breakfast was good.
The actual hotel is looking a bit tired. The bathroom needed some TLC... Shelf over sink dropping off, the bath panel was worn away at the bottom. The bed was very 'lumpy' and the pillows really hard, so not a great nights sleep.
Dated in need of modernisation
The room was very comfortable, spacious and clean and the staff were very welcoming and friendly and we will be staying again.
Could do with a refresh.
NIGHT PORTER WAS VERY WELCOMING AT OUR LATE ARRIVAL WI FI WORKED WELL NICE AND QUIET
OLD FASHIONED ROOMS NEEDS REFURBISHMENT NOT A PROPER BALCONY MASSIVELY OVERPRICED COMPARED TO CHAIN HOTELS SERVICE AT BREAKFAST - GIVEN SMALLER TABLE THAN REQUIRED , HAD TO ASK FOR PLATES TO BE CLEARED AND FRESH TOAST TO BE SERVED MY REQUEST RE DISABLED SISTER MADE NO DIFFERENCE TO THE ROOM WE GOT
Having to make an early start,so retired early, but was unable to sleep due to a disco party downstairs till early hours.Although we were on 2nd floor didn't block the noise.
This hotel may not be pleasing too look at from the outside and some of the hotel is dated but its spotlessly clean , very comfortable and the most helpful friendly staff and the rooms with balconies a nice touch. Also the pool, steam room and jacuzzi and gym make it even better. Thank You for a lovely stay
Absolutely nothing to complain about.
friendly, welcoming and unobtrusive staff. Nice swimming pool. Bottled water very welcome and tea facilities nice. Very convenient for visiting relatives
TWO comfy chairs in room would be welcome.List of TV programmes lacking
Single beds very uncomfortable
We liked everything, staff exellant food first class, reception very help full .good atmosphere felt really comfortable.
Toilet was not clean on arrival; had remains of faeces in the bowl.
- Very spacious rooms - I was in the annexe, which was very quiet - Parking space right outside the entrance door to room was a bonus - Good value for money, considering the standard of the room and the size of the room.
Very easy to find Good parking Matttress, bedlinen and towels all excellent. Plenty of storage Very good wifi Swimming pool Staff very helpful
Very friendly staff and a good breakfast. Sparkling clean.
Mattress was too hard for me.
Helpfulness of the staff. Reasonable priced food and drink
Good location close to town centre, large room with balcony, plenty of free parking. Staff were friendly.
I think the hotel was converted from an office block and thinks like ceiling tiles and a building column in the middle of the room made it feel a little that way. The swimming pool is adequate and clean enough and is open to the public as part of the leisure centre. The decor in the pool area is more leisure centre than hotel standard.
Double room was great, spacious, good en suite, four poster bed!! Close to the high street with plenty of choice for eating / drinking out, food prices within hotel cheap but limited menu.
Sauna was not working. Breakfast doesn't start until 7.00am
