Convenient location. Draughty room. No heating in bathroom on coldest weekend of the year. When asked, owners could or would not turn on the radiator. No bath towels first day. Radiator in bedroom did not work which meant using fan heater which made the room unbearably stuffy overnight. Room described as "Executive Double".

Both members of staff were both very helpful during our stay. They made us feel very welcome throughout. The room was warm and clean and good value for money. The cooked breakfast left a lot to be desired!

A basic hotel but clean and comfortable. I'm used to a cold house so it was too warm for me!! daft complaint as i'm sure most people require warmth.

The communal areas have a cosy feel about them. When we arrived the double bedroom was only made up for a single, so we had to request extra pillows, towels, cups etc. The kettle didn't work so we requested another one ready for the morning and this didn't work very well either. The shower was dreadful.

Having read a number of negative reviews was a bit apprehensive. We stayed for 1 night. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bedroom and bathroom was of standard size for a double room with all the expected facilities. Considering the price charged I was more than happy with this hotel.

The location was very good for easy walking access to the centre of St Ives, and the delights that this historical town has to offer. The staff were very efficient and friendly, both on arrival and throughout my short stay. The room was comfortable and fit for purpose - warm, clean and with all the nick-nacks that one would expect for the price. The location was good for a business trip, but if you're looking for a romantic setting, then I'd think twice! Facing onto a main road with a paved parking area at the front, the hotel has no garden. There is a seating area outside at the back of the hotel, although this is also a car parking area with a main road also running behind.

Hotel was very handy for St.Ives centre. Telly was very intermittent. I had to keep ringing reception every 10 minutes to get them to reset the fuse on the freeview box in a room next to reception.

Very friendly and welcoming staff made us feel at home. Only criticism is that there were no drinking glasses in the bedroom but this is not a complaint, just an observation that make a welcome addition.

The staff were pleasant and helpful.Lunch on the Sunday was good. The public areas were attractive and up to date. The room we had was adequate but needs updating. For example there was no shaving point in the bathroom and the flow of water through the shower was weak. The toilet seat was a little wobbly.

The room was comfortable, everything we needed for our stay. Children liked the jaccuzzi bath, staff were more than helpful. Didn;t get our early morning call that we requested, but we set the alarm any way. I would like to say that the room could of done with a hoover before we went into it. Alot of hair and bits in the bathroom and over the floor in general. But with that said, I would use you again if the time arrises.

The staff tried their best... The room was not as shown in the pictures on the booking website. There is no internet in the room, the tv didn't work, the shower didn't work, there brown/red spots on the bed lined, the towels were small and worn out, the pull cords for the lights in the bathroom were supposed to be white but were actually brown, the room furniture and decor was of 1980's vintage, the key for the door was on a big (filthy) white plastic fob. I complained to the manager who offered me a tenner off. I called booking.com who refused to accept any responsibility for the room at all, they said they are just a booking service and have no control over the way hotels sell themselves on their website. I won't be back to either the hotel of booking.com.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the small restaurant. The service was excellent. The menu had a wide choice to suit all tastes including a wide range of Indian dishes. The food was excellent. Breakfast was served in a bright conservatory and the sevice and food were excellent. The carpets were looking a bit tired. Overall the hotel looked a bit dark.

excellent position on edge of St.Ives and easy bus ride into Cambridge.Polite and pleasant staff I'm afraid the bathroom left a lot to be desired. The shower was probably the worst I've ever experienced. Although there was a nice bar, there wasn't a quiet lounge area as an alternative to sitting in the bedroom

Would never never ever stay here again all rooms including dinning room were dirty we had lots of hairs and dirt (not dust) Dirt in the bathroom and you don't even want to know what colour the Toilet brush was , disgusting... ! Bathroom doors very stained ! Wine stains on small dirty table in the room , kettle steam directly underneath the tv, I didn't even shower as it was so dirty. The milk jug at Breakfast was half filled with milk and at the top of the jug all around was what looked like cream as it hadn't been cleaned for ages.I Did complain at the end of our stay, and offered to show the man my findings which he declined, we were offered a bottle of wine which I declined just couldnt wait to get out of there. Dirty horrid hotel never stayed anywhere that dirty before and would never stay there again.
