Excellent location and the decoration, looking forward to staying in the new make over next time we visit London.
Absolutely impossible to do hair and makeup! There are no power sockets near a mirror and the lighting in the bathroom is behind your head so can't see to do makeup. Room was small and cold and there was only tea provided with no coffee or milk. For £380 per night I would have expected a lot more. Overpriced and less than average.
Decor - after awhile, we felt like we were in a mental institution. But the entire hotel will be renovated in March 2015, so this should go away.
location was really good and room was nice and quirky with the bath in the room staff were nice
no hotel bar on Sunday or Monday which we wish we had Been notified of prior to arrival as we would have booked somewhere else the place was dead
Location, room style and facilities. A few minutes walk to Welbeck street Q parking and Capital Radio.
Very noisy street below until early hours. (Only to be expected with a Leicester Sq. Location.
A fabulous location and friendly staff.
Could do with black out blinds in the rooms which have an internal window.. the panel behind is always illuminated and has a noisy extractor system
Nice hotel, very central, just a few minutes away from Leicester Square Station.
Very noisy place: Leicester Square, and more generally Soho, are quite noisy at night, and this is the case of this hotel. Several bars and clubs are just below the hotel, you'll enjoy groups of drunken people shouting and chanting very late (or very early) at night... Too expensive for just a few hours of sleep.
The location of the hotel is just off Leicester Square and on the edge of Chinatown. Accordingly many attractions are within walking distance and there are numerous bars and restaurants on the doorstep. The first floor bar was cosy and inviting and the extended 'Happy Hour' for guests was a nice touch.
No windows in the room which made it feel a little claustrophobic and cut off from the outside. The bath and shower in the bedroom itself was a first for us and not for the shy. The room had a kettle but the only beverage on offer was peppermint tea.
The hotel was very noisy at night. We were on the 2nd floor and the cab company across the road were very vocal and we could hear every conversation. Lots of fights and swearing from drunken people over the 2 nights. Did not sleep well at all. Our children had a room o n the 5th floor with a window that opened onto a very noisy air conditioner and razor wire - awful!
Location, friendly staff, nice & elegant rooms
Terrible view of the room, like being in a prison, reception area is very small
One of the staff's attitude is so bad and nude. The window in the bathroom can not be closed completely and its freezing. Anyway I wont book this hotel next time.
Right in the middle of everything
Room was tiny and window was in front of the hotel AC
The hotel was in a great location and could not fault the staff.
The room was a a bit tired, leaky shower and due to its location a bit noisy at night, but it is central London.
Lots of eating places nearby.
Place was hard to find. Hotel should give more specific instructions on how to get there.
Staff where very friendly Room was so well equipped Very clean and very comfortable Open plan layout Location Complimentary upgrade which we really appreciated
Very near picadilly, good location.
At night the district seems a little bit unsafe!
The room was a reasonably large sized one and the facilities are excellent. The hotel is located right next to Chinatown which has fabulous well priced restaurants and is around the corner form The Lyric Theatre and The Apollo.
Our room had a tiny window that looked into a brick wall! otherwise, it was perfect!
Room was very clean and spacious
The shower wan in the room - it shoukd have at least a curtain or stained glass to ensure some privacy
Location was perfect
Didn't like open plan bathroom
The hotel building and sill
The hotel is in such a good location being just off Leicester Square itself. So close to so many attractions and the Underground. The staff were lovely, so friendly and helpful we would definitely stay there again
What's not to like!!
Advertised DVD player, wasn't one. Not much hanging space in wardrobe. The bar was not opened two nights of our stay and the drink menu was very poor. The breakfast was very expensive, tried to charge me £10 for two slices of toast
Breakfast was very good and location was very central.
I was initially sent to the wrong room on another floor. This was quickly resolved but was a frustration as I was in a rush to get to a meeting. This hotel isn't really suitable for business travellers as there is no desk or chair in the room. I was also disappointed that there was no room service as I was travelling alone and there was not even any coffee in the room. The mini bar was very limited, was not cold and contained no snacks. The bedroom window looked out over some kind of kitchen extractor shaft which was not very nice to look at, smelt of food and was constantly noisy. The window was also broken and the whole panel came away from the frame and fell on my head when I tried to open it as the room was so hot. The air con worked but took a long time to kick in.
Would not recommend or ever re book
Check-in fine staff friendly. Our room was lovely, street noise a little off putting at 4:30am but other than that it was a good stay, fab location & really good for the night life in Soho. Would stay again x
