Really nice modern apartment, clearly effort put into furnishing, very clean, convenient location
They don't read the "special requests" box apparently - requested parking when booking to no response, rung later to follow up and then was told I requested too late after booking; manager was completely unapologetic. They were also late in bringing keys, even though I gave them the option of picking when to meet, stood in the cold for 20minutes.
Clean, reasonable space, well equipped, well heated, adequate bathroom.
No reception. No staff on property 24x7. Required to call office to check in and collect luggage
Spacious studio with kitchen Directly behind a mall
We called 30mins before arrival but still waited 15mins for staff to come over to hand us the key. Alley into apartments quite isolated so best to check in when there's still daylight.
Great location, nice flat, well equipped
Cockroach in the kitchen and was overpriced in my opinion
Well furnished with a very nice shower and modern sofa and bed.
Some of the lights did not function which gave the apartment a slightly dim ambience.
The independence of having the facilities to store and cook our own food, alongside the convenience of staying in a hotel.
We called 30 mins before arriving as instructed but the apartment staff member took 25 minutes after we arrived to reach the apartment. Once he arrived, he was very helpful and knowledgeable, though.
Wifi doesn't work at all!
Location Size Warm
Dark depressing wallpaper and furnishings Inadequate and ill assorted kitchenware No bedside lights Not very clean
The location was close to our son's university and his accommodation.
The building going on next to the apartment. Work started at 7.30 am.Had to park car at another location at cost of £10 per day. I think this fee should not have been charged because we couldn't park outside apartment.
Nice, clean apartment close to Grafton Centre. Well appointed.
Quite a walk from historic centre of Cambridge and colleges. Be aware that you are required to provide photo ID on arrival (which I didn't have) a copy of my credit card was considered a suitable alternative (which I was uncomfortable about giving).
Tidy and clean
Bed unbelievably noisy! Sofa v uncomfortable
These are nice, new flats - very comfortable. Comfy bed. Close to Grafton Centre (and there's a little corner store nearby: turn left at the end of Severn Place, then keep curving left - don't cross the road/roundabout - it's only about a minute away from the flat).
There are some tiny (but annoying) deficiencies which could be rectified quite easily... E.G. having a stirring spoon (wooden), egg flip, and salad bowl (with servers) in the kitchen; a curtain over both windows (there's a screen but lots of light still comes in); and a top sheet and blanket (I brought my own this time as I can never sleep well under a quilt - it's the second time I've stayed here). Also, the whole flat just needs a spring clean: wiping down the walls in the bathroom, wiping over the skirting boards, cleaning under the soap dispenser in the bathroom... Lots of self-catering apartments ask that you sort your recycling - which I think is a good idea. A recycling bin under the sink would be helpful. NB that you need to phone up 30 minutes before you want to arrive, to make sure someone is there to greet you.
We loved the flat's layout and the modern, fresh feel. Especially the little tables on wheels! Lovely wardrobes, great TV and kitchen area. Super hide for a rug and comfy sofa. The bed was super comfortable and on a warm warm night on 31st Oct! - the open Juliette balcony kept us cool.
Loved most of it - but do feel it could have had a super clean, i.e. unpleasant marks on bathroom wall, smeary floor, shower edging congealed.
Lovely welcome, amazing apartment.
Apartment had a reasonable sized living room cum dining and kitchen. Sofa was comfortable, good to snuggle up in and watch TV. The shower in the bathroom was hot almost immediately and powerful. Towels absorbent. The bed was comfortable. Location excellent. Just behind Grafton Centre. . With shops, Cafe Nero, Costa nearby and 7 minutes to the city centre. Tesco and Waitrose within walking distance. Security is good. Wifi is good.
In the bathroom only hand wash was provided. Severn Place is a quiet but short lane. I was stuck in the lift but on ringing the bell was attended to quickly and let out within 25 minutes.
Good location Nice flat screen TV
No directions to figure out how to work the AC, washer/dryer Had iron but no ironing board Poor quality furniture - the couch was terrible and uncomfortable, the bed was loose and almost falling apart Mishmosh of utenzils. one wine glass and 6 champagne glasses No frying pan No microwave No ice trays for ice Toilet was broken (but I fixed it) No parking close by that wasn't super expensive
Wi-Fi was really bad…
Although it is more expensive then a travel lodge you pay for what you get. Great experience when a very high premium feel whilst staying. Definitely would recommend
The location was good - close to the main city centre
Washing machine did not work Structure of the building is wooden frame - whole apartment shook every time a door down stairs was closed - construction site next door - very noisy
The property itself was well furnished but the arrogance of the staff and the unsafe neighbourhood makes you think twice.
The staffs behaviour was deplorable and the property was very unsafe. I'd strongly advise anyone from staying here. There are several better and reasonably priced options at central locations. At one point we had a drink guy continuously calling the flat at 2 in the morning on the intercom at the front of the building, asking to be let in. The security is abysmal. Also the staff was supposed to visit to have some forms signed. When he finally turned up it was late in the night and he was rude and terribly arrogant. All in all one of the worst experiences we've ever had!
I liked the design and comfort of the apartment
I think £130 for one night stay without parking nor breakfast included nor any complimentary supplies to be able to have a cup of tea or a cup of coffee it's too expensive. For that sort of money I could have stayed in a much more central location. I also found that there were clothes inside the drawers in the room so I felt like I was renting some student room while they were on holiday.
Still awaiting receipt for stay, no email to contact for receipt so awaiting responce from stay! Contacted number given when booking but still awaiting reply. Can the owner please send reciept immediately, thanks!
The quality Of decor, comfortable bed, nice towels, location was good
I didn't note that you had to Call 30 minutes before arrival and was told off my two people for this before I recieved the keys to the apartment. I was told there would be parking at another location, then 30 minutes later was told there wouldn't be parking. There was a spider in the bathroom, a long black hair that didn't belong to me, someone else's laundry was locked in the washing machine that was broken, and the mats were placed crookedly under the furniture which made it buckle and was quite unsafe.
Very friendly and helpful host. Very nice apartments.
The location of the house was very central Large, bright bedrooms, very modern bathrooms. Hans, the Duty Manager, was very obliging and helpful.
Extremely rude customer service person (on phone) - I was speechless! When we arrived at the apartments we had booked, no one was there to greet us and on calling the office was yelled at for not calling them prior to arrival because they were changing our accom to another location. Once that was sorted (along with a very expensive double cab fare!!), we were re-located to a very spacious house in Central Cambridge. The 500 year old house accommodated us all fairly comfortably (-though there were lots of stairs). The bed in my elderly mother's room was way to high off the ground and we needed to remove the mattress. The place wasn't very clean and hadn't been prepared for our arrival. There was insufficient crockery for our group.
