The land lady was very friendly and made me feel very welcome. The room was a nice size and very clean. The hotel is very handy for walking into town.Really lovely friendly place.I felt safe and comfortable.
Only a very very minor quibble but there was only decaff coffee in the room.I needed caffeine in the morning!
Room was clean, staff welcoming Good Breakfast

Owner was lovely
Sausage at breakfast was poor quality Bed was not very comfortable
Location close to town Good price Friendly helpful staff
Room overlooked a road which was very busy and noisy until 1am ish. Also there were noisy pedestrians. Wifi kept cutting in and out.
Always very helpful
Great friendly welcome Good location for station
Room was a little on the compact side, but fine for one night
For value for money this was spot-on for me. I just needed an overnight stop, arriving at the railway station late-ish and catching the airport bus the following morning. Having informed them in advance that I'd be arriving after the normal check-in hours I got a friendly, unhurried, welcome. My single room was perfectly comfortable, well-furnished and spotlessly clean. The Wi-Fi worked faultlessly and had I needed it the work desk would have been more than adequate. A good night's sleep was enjoyed and breakfast was well worth getting up for. It's a little bit out-of-way for nightlife and restaurants but otherwise is central enough to explore the city if you are staying a few days.
Very friendly and helpful owner Good location, close to both university and town center Nice breakfast Everything very clean and in good condition Friendly, relaxed atmosphere
Shower pressure was very low (on top floor), wifi also poor (on top floor)
Good breakfast, landlady very obliging and wanting to please. Very clean everywhere. Television easy to operate.
Dreadfully noisy road nearby - my room was at the front and I needed the window ajar so needed sleeping pills and earplugs. I paid £65 a night for a twin room, single occupancy; there was only one armchair, no rack for luggage and the only place I could put my newspaper etc. was on the bed. A digital display in the window said twins started at £50, so I feel I paid over the odds. The toilet door was warped so the bolt did not close it.
The kindness of the hostess made our stay more pleasant.

Small room and shared bathroom

The owner was very helpful and suggested a couple of really good restaurants within walking distance. The breakfast was hearty enough to get me through a day of blacksmithing!
My room faced the street which was a bit noisy. Good thing I carry earplugs. The window when closed blocked an amazing amount of the sound but then there was less fresh air.
Helpful friendly. parking on site & *£2 outside all next day whilst on a course. great breakfast..would have stayed again but they were already full for my dates
my room one floor up from bathroom
Convenient for the centre of Exeter.
Tight manoeuvring space in the car park.
Huge breakfast, laundromat close, nice pub close by for dinner. Parking at rear very handy
Brilliant stay will return for longer in the near future.
