“ The staff was friendly and helpful, well informed. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was ok, I was disappointed there were cold meats instead of the bacon and sausage I expected, but the service was very good and the personnel very polite. ”

I found the room to be very small the shower door came off in my hand when closing and the shower itself was tiny. The bath robe on the back of the door was absolutely filthy with make up and blood spots on it. The rooms only window was covered with a black out blind and curtians that didin't open and they were covered in dust. When I went to try to find someone I rang the bell and stood at the reception desk for over 20mins. At this stage I just let it go. The bed linnen was very clean and due to little to no availability of hotels in london that night I stayed but I will not return. I use booking.com to book hotels all the time but this hotel really disappointed me.

Location was very good, staff were helpful This is a glorified Guest House. No bar, no restaraunt facilities, TV stations all foreign language with the exception of Sky News & CNN. Breakfast service begins at 08:30, too late for anybody conducting business in London. Breakfast was paid for as part of package but could not be taken. Grossly overpriced for what I got.

An unsafe, badly run death trap. It should not have got through its health and safety assessment and was advertised as 4 star!! No lift and no staffed reception on arrival. I walked two floors to basement carrying my bags to find staff then 5 floors up to my room. I should have walked out at that point but it was 21.30 and my chance of finding another hotel room was nil. No headroom - banged head on ceiling going down stairs. Grossly unsafe - stair carpets loose and runners not screwed down - effectively a death trap on a steep piece of stairs. No secondary fire exit and no smoke proof exit zone. The only fire door propped open. No air conditioning. The hot water was scalding with no warning notice - fractionally off boiling, probably because of its proximity to the hot tank. Window on 5th floor opened wide and had a low ledge. This is illegal as it is too easy to fall out and is unsafe - but a great relief as it permitted a bit of fresh air. The common areas were filthy and a previous user had said the breakfast was awful so I did not bother to try it. The room was relatively clean - about the only good point.

- Price / quality is good. - Location is very good. - Breakfast is included in price and it is correct. - Single room is relatively large (12 m2). - Decoration is old-style, but nice. - Beds are double-size even in individual rooms, and very comfortable. - Wi-fi connection is slow and doesn't work most of the time (even if they attempt to charge you gbp 10). The worst thing is that they'll tell you it's perfect when you ask about. I cannot understand why they scare away customers with such an stupid approach to wi-fi, given they could offer free and good wi-fi just by investing in a good 60 gbp router and in a good 30GBP/month internet connection to share with customers. A great stupidness from the hotel manager to my view. - Rooms are not climatised. - Bathroom and shower is tight. - It's not 4 stars, someone should call a tourism inspector.

The fact that its only a 7 minute walk to Oxford street and Edgware Road. There was only one staff member that was both a receptionist and a bellboy. The room were extremely small and the bathrooms were even smaller. We actually paid for the night and left on the same day to a different nearby hotel. I must admit it was a terrible experience and a shock for us all after we had to compare the pictures on booking.com to the actual appearence of the place.

Nothing No lift, holes in bedding and curtains. Shower did not work properly. Plug in sink did not work properly and we had to keep forcing it up to get the water to go down. TV on one end of the room only, second bed could not see TV. Channels were foriegn with subtitles apart from Skynews. Room was very hot, could not open the window as we were in the basement on a main road with steps coming down past the window. Headboard was not attached to the bed and one bed had no headboard and the pillows were falling off all night. We asked for breakfast early as we had to be at our event by 8.30am and was told that breakfast did not start until 8.30am!!! This is on a working day not weekend, eventually they agreed to do the breakfast at 8.15am. When we went into breakfast there was no Tea only coffee which was very strong. The only hot breakfast offered was eggs. We asked for poached and it took 15 mins before they came back and they were hard with hardly any whites. We did, however, get a cup of tea when we asked. We had a kettle in the room with mugs but no tea etc. We did ask and when we got back to the room found half a jar of coffee a few sugars and a small jug of milk with cling film on in the fridge. Oppulence, I don't think so, was one of the worst hotels we have stayed in. The hotel does not cater for people from all nationalties and cultures and is certainly not 4 star.

Best point was the bedding was clean ! We had to struggle up 7 flights of stairs with all our luggage which didn't do much for my heart condition, there was bearly room to get around the bed. The room was so hot you had to have the windows open all night and the put up with banging water pipes the constant drone of cars speeding down the one way street outside, and opposite were some offices that were fully lit up all night.

Nothing! You don't want to know how breakfast looks like!!! This is a four star hotel only in Pakistan! Everything, horable, unbelivable, you should come to Oppulance and than you will find a two star hotel in Johannesburg as a Hilton!
