Location Easy to find and lots to do within easy reach Friendly receptionist Room was too warm with no way of cooling it down - no air con or fans View from window was of bins in basement There was a kettle and cup in the room but no coffee/tea There was also an empty fridge - no mini bar No iron in room (almost wouldn't fit anyway) Large wardrobe (taking lots of space) but no clothes hangers Breakfast at 8.30. Too late for most business people Insects in bathroom

This is definitely not a 4-star, a 2-star at the best. No lift (you carry your luggage to the 4th floor on a very narrow staircase), WiFi doesn't work, not very clean (corners dirty, my bed-cover was not new...), poor breakfast (cheapest cold cuts, toast straight from fridge in smelly old wrappings...), and if you leave your luggage in "safe-keeing", it will stand all day near the exit, ready to be picked up by whoever wants to walk 3 meters from the door. To crown the experience: the hotel management tried to unbook me at the last minute, probably trying to sell the room at a higher price (London center was fully booked that week). This hotel is slowly run down, to be avoided by all means!

Best point was the bedding was clean ! We had to struggle up 7 flights of stairs with all our luggage which didn't do much for my heart condition, there was bearly room to get around the bed. The room was so hot you had to have the windows open all night and the put up with banging water pipes the constant drone of cars speeding down the one way street outside, and opposite were some offices that were fully lit up all night.

Nothing! You don't want to know how breakfast looks like!!! This is a four star hotel only in Pakistan! Everything, horable, unbelivable, you should come to Oppulance and than you will find a two star hotel in Johannesburg as a Hilton!

Central location, interesting decoration. Reception staff could be a bit more professional, breakfast starts at 8.30 only, no elevator, expensive and very slow internet.

Leaving the place ! You should be ashamed to put such a place (sorry I can't call that an hotel) on your site. By doing this you discredit yourself - At least to my eyes - For the record I stayed in room 6 - The guy sleeping next door could be heard snoring loud - Could hear the guest of the room above walking as if he was in my own room - The shower is either burning hot or cold - The shower hose leaks and there is no pressure - All doors are slamming loud, the entrance stinks; no breakfast is served before 8H30 and all this for the "special deal" price of £127 per night !.........a rip off you participation in and I see no more reason why I should book through you if you are not even screening whoever is on your site!

It is a converted townhome, rooms are in basement, they are poorly designed and there is no space to move, the basin is so small you make your feet wet when you wash your face, towels are dirty, closets are dusty, there are artisanal air conditioning devices whose pipes run out of the window and as a result windows stay open. Imagine slleping with open windows in wintertime in london! The staff barely speak english (all arabs), they do not have laundry bags. It is an absolute, utter rip off (unless you are a 20 something backpacker, that is).

Nothing! IT WAS DISGRACEFUL!!!! Disgraceful! Up 84 steps, no lift facilities, almost in the attic. We had just returned from a hospital appointment and need to relax. Broken telephone, light bulbs not working in table lamp and enterance to room. No tea and coffee despite kettele and cups provided. No hot water for showers. A terrible disappointment, definately not opulent, no relaxing facilities and not even basics!

It was warm. It was central to the shops and underground stations. It needed a really good clean. Our room was very small, meant to be a doubleroom but you had to climb to get in bed as it was pushed up against the window. The wardrobe had 2 hangers only. The table lamp did not work. The bathroom was so small you had to squeeze round the bathroom door to get in. We both are thin if you had been large you would not have got in. There was no hot water for a shower in the morning. Cooked breakfast was 2 eggs only. Not a good experience. A 4 star but more like a 2 star.

My husband and I enjoyed the big room that we had, staff were friendly and accommodating. The Hotel staff stated that the bill for the room was still outstanding as I felt that booking.com should have sorted that out at the time of booking! No problem with the hotel.

Not much at al. The room was very dirty, in particular the carpet. The breakfast was a joke. Despite a lengthy menu, the only hot food available was eggs. The toaster was almost unusable.

The bed was comfortable. The wall paper is peeling off the wall in the lobby area and the carpet is frayed....not a great first impression. The wall paper in the bedroom was stained and looked grubby. I was on the top floor....there is no lift. I would never stay in this hotel again.

It served a purpose. We were brought some tea bags even though we had not pre ordered them. It was shabby, the breakfast was poor and the room we ate in small and cramped. The term opulence is a misnomer.

Nothing please do not stay here, it is well over charged for what it is. The box room we stayed in was awful, we couldn’t move in it and it was way to hot, which we couldn’t even open the window has it was broken like most off the things in the room. The Shower didn’t work it over flowed and wouldn’t turn off once we turned it on, the bed was supported by a tin of paint, we had 2 hand towels and that was it to dry ourselves. The breakfast was a help yourself service which was a bowl of old salad, a plate full of cheese slices, a plate full of sliced fake meat, Bread, a pot of coffee for all the guests to share and the only thing they cooked was EGGS!! The room was tiny even smaller than the room we stayed in, which was suppose to fit all the guests in for breakfast and was way to hot again. They defiantly over charge for what you get and this is certainly not a 4 star hotel, I would give it 2 star and that’s at a push. I would never stay here again.

It is situated very centrally gien that we were on a city break. The room was fairly spacious. Toiletries were not refreshed on the second day. The website should make it clear that tea bags, coffee powder, etc are not provided, even though kettle and cups are made available. The bed was poorly made when we arrived, and again on the second day. I don'tr beleive bedding was changed on day one. The breakfast was very basic - there was not a pastry or croissont in site, no fruit salad, not a bean or a mushroom or tomato with the fried egg, etc.

Nothing stood out as particularly good about this hotel. Very overpriced!! £199 for one night. Room was described as a suite but was just a room. Also it was ground floor front of the building and therefore very noisy at night. Breakfast wasn't good either! And the "Chic" Seven Seas restuarant was just a tiny room in the basement filed with old restuarant furniture! Had the room cost £80 say, I would complain at all as the facilities and service would have been about right. But for £199 per night?? Not happy!!

“I live in Australia and stayed in 14 hotels in 4 weeks in Europe and London. The Park Grand London Paddington was by far the best hotel I stayed at in this time. The reception was excellent, the room was outstanding and the location was the perfect distance from the train station. Congratulations to the hotel for it's service and staff which were outstanding.” Elaine, The Vines |
