The rooms, building and view. Proprieters very friendly and helpful with very good knowledge of local area and restaurants. Bread very nice, coffee good. No fresh fruit or yogurt at breakfast, dried fruit infrequently in very small amounts. Though we were out by 9.30 am cleaner(s) sometimes tried to clean the room before we left.

the hotel has a great relaxed atmosphere with great hosts. The breakfast more than lived up to expectations with all food sourced locally (5* food standard rating) this hotel is great for business and holiday. Would definitely go back when in the area. Nothing

The warm welcome, helpful advice on the area and places to eat, comfortable &spacious room, peace and quiet, location & views, good breakfast with attentive non intrusive service, tasteful decor.... There was nothing we didn't like.

It suited my price range , having seen it whilst researching an urgent place to stay ..It was very clean,breakfast was well cooked.Iwas late down for breakfast as Ithought breakfast finished at 10 am not 9am , my mistake for not reading rules and regulations . I had read up on so many hotels so mixed the times up I arrived later than expected after driving from Kent ... I asked if they cooked in the evening , which they said that they did not ..I respect their decision , but how nice it would of been nice if they could of at least offered me a sandwich , I was not expecting it for nothing , instead told me I could fid something to eat in Bideford 20 min.walk , but for me moe 45 mins. Yes I have a car but it was late and driving around to find somewhere would of took a consideral amount of time..The first thing they were interested in was form filling ..Car reg , name address ete etc ...I went outside to write down my registration number down but couldn't find the original slip , had to do several things over again and I had not even put my things in the room ...The proprietors were not exactly jumping out to help you , but out of the two the male proprietor Seemed very miserable , showed me to my room with me struggling with my luggage ... It is about going the extra mile , Iwas the only guest Which brings me to another point , whilst searching the the Internet , needing somewhere to stay urgently for the Wednesday . Orchard Hill Hotel came up on several occasions stating that the room I paid for was the last room in the hotel and in fact the hotel was empty Could you please comment on my issues forthwith Kind regards Ms Susan Seager

It was a very open, friendly hotel. The owners were extremely welcoming. It was very dated, the room that we stayed in was uncomfortable and stuffy. I spend two sleepless nights there.
