It was well located The staff were extremely rude. They shouted at us and threatened with kicking us out of the hotel in the middle of the night. We had to complain to the management and they said they had have several complaints about the same person before. Why don't you fire him then?? Don't stay at this hotel if you don't want to be treated like a thief!

Nothing stands out, it was clean, services were limited but it was a 'value' b&b Breakfast a bit limited and tea and coffee not available in rooms although there was a separate communal lounge for this facility

Great central location, twin room had a double and a single and was surprisingly large for a London hotel. I've paid alot more in the past for worse hotels. Breakfast was a little random but fine.

It's a good deal for a short stay. Simple, clean and with the expected space for europe standard. I had good time with my family with no problems. It's 15 min walk to oxford and 10 min walk from paddington station which is a big plus. The only thing is towels. They just never change them no matter what you do. Overall, I would choose it again versus risking another hotel.

Loved the location. We had a newly refurbished room. Very nice. Our friends stayed in the rooms that hadn't been refurbished and they weren't very nice. There was a woman at the front desk that did alot of yelling on the phone. She seemed to be right about what she was saying to the customers on the phone, but it was still a little intimidating listening to her, knowing we had to hand her our key or ask her a question. We all laughed about it, she was friendly to us so maybe she was just having a bad couple of days, don't know! Wouldn't want to cross her. The steps to the rooms were extremely steep, but that's to be expected in an old building.

Good location and friendly staff at reception desk. Great showers in en suite. Very poor breakfast and badly organised. The beds were very hard to sleep on. I would recommend the hotel for those who need to spend a bit less and don't care about the quality of sleep.

The check in guys were really friendly, and went out of their way to be polite and helpful, even keeeping a car parking spot for us, which we no longer needed, and ordering a late night pizza for us. The rooms were excellent for comfort, and the hotel is really close to Paddington Station, and within walking distance of Hyde park, and the main shopping streets in London. Areas of the room/bathroom needed attending too, i.e rusty towel rail, and rotten door frame near the shower. The breakfast was more than basic, with a breakfast attendant being likened to a member of the Gestapo, which really spoiled the fact I may not return to this hotel, unless Ii could get a good breaksft nearby!!

Excellent location for shopping and transport links. Whilst checking out, most hotels can store your luggage in a secure location while you do your own thing. The orchard hotel does store your belongings but in their front room with minimum security. To improve this they could gave you a receipt and keep this room locked.

The hotel were accommodating by allowing us to drop in our baggage before rooms were ready (although they did actually give us one early to use), and again after we left, we were able to leave our baggage til 11pm as we were at concerts in Hyde Park all day/evening. Hotel was quite near Hyde Park as required - my main reason for choice. Slept quite well. Some of the staff very pleasant and helpful, others just 'there in body' but no complaints as I'm not looking for gushy staff. If you have a cat dont take it with you - cos you wont be able to swing it round! The smallest room I've ever been in and the most miniscule en suite - the door opens out to the room as it couldnt go in ! You have to shut the wardrobe door to pass the bed to open the en suite door etc - tiny. Tired decor, no extras! (Probably not room for them!) - ie no toilettries apart from one bar of soap, no tea/coffee facilities in room. We had to ask for a 2nd towel in our "double" room. Breakfast very basic, tho edible. The couple with us were given twin beds when a double had been booked and confirmed with us when we dropped off our baggage earlier in the day. To be avoided for anyone with a heart condition, as I have, with the amount of stairs to go up and down. I know its London but I've stayed in London in far better for similar price.
