Lovely setting,and ideal for a quiet place that's close to the city centre. Rooms spacious and very comfortable if a bit spartan - limited toiletries supplied, and no shower cap. Lovely large, thick bath towels, but no face flannel?

Some staff not trained enough for a 4* hotel. Bar has limited selection and again untrained staff. Limited toiletries in room plus no shower cap or face flannel.

The lovely setting was wasted as only there 2 nights and not able to take advantage of this. However did walk through uni grounds in transit, would return just to experience what this venue has to offer. Very new and therefore everything in good condition and modern.

Mirror - tiny freestanding mirror in bedroom, would prefer large mirror on wall. Mirror inside the wardrobe no use as the door kept self closing. Had to wedge a pillow against it to see to dry my hair. Had a twin room, the beds were very close together! Poor signposting if entering the Uni campus from another direction.

Fantastic hotel, the grounds it is in are lovely, the staff very friendly and halpful and the food was amaing as so reasonable.

Great value and layout of rooms. Loved the trees as wall art in the rooms. Shower was nice and powerful.

Service at restaurant. Very slow. Waited 35 minutes for a table even though we were told it would only be 10-15mins, we had to go up and ask as I think we were forgotten. Once seated on the table no drinks were offered, at that time we had just finished our drinks from the bar. When the food arrived, I ordered a drink. After 30 minutes I asked for it to be cancelled as it never came and ordered water instead. Waiter apologised. However, water come 10mins after that when my meal was finished. L The drink i ordered was on the bill which was removed.The food was great however I couldn't enjoy it fully as I had no drink to wash it down with. Staff made no eye contact so it was difficult to get their attention. That was the only thing that let the hotel down. I would stay at the hotel again but won't be dining at the restaurant.

Hotel is very clean, pleasant staff, rooms equiped with tea/coffee, ironing board and hair dryer and very good food

Location and environment.

Basic amenities for an executive room. No fridge or drinks.

I liked the attitude of the staff and how helpful they were the environment and location the ease of movement between hotel and Conference for a wheelchair user

Not being able to open the windows

The room was comfortable : the bathroom well appointed. Breakfast was very good.

No glasses in the room; plastic beakers are not a good substitute! I had to send to reception for enough towels.

Very modern and clean hotel, checked in early which was very helpful. Rooms are clean and luxurious, free parking and lovely grounds. Hotel is set within the University grounds about 4 miles from the City Centre, £7 in a taxi.

A little expensive for breakfast at £10, tea and coffee £3 too.
