Score from 160 reviews Very good
Location was very convenient and parking good.
A few things broken in the room. The window couldn't open and the curtain had fallen off the track. Room very small and really hot for no reason? The paint round the door architrave was only half done. Must have run out of time perhaps?
Friendly helpful staff. Good selection of evening meals and excellent breakfast. Warm room. Good value for money considering the proximity to everything.
Lumpy bed!. No selection of teas in bedroom. Room really needed a good clean.
Location is lovely. The pub is lovely and food nice. Staff always super helpful and by welcoming. The place is a lovely old building.
Lovely old pub in the quaint town of Ringwood. Lovely reception staff very helpful, amazing breakfast. Felt very cosy and would return.
Can't think of anything,.
The Staff were very friendly & nothing was too much trouble, I would definately stay there again.
Excellent staff and customer service. Great location on the high street and the room was clean. Nice full-English breakfast included in the morning
The pub and the bedroom/bathroom decor is dated, but clean. Could do with a makeover but good for the price.
the friendly and warm atmosphere
The location and area.
Having stayed before and been pleased with what we found,we were disappointed to find the general atmosphere poor.Shortage of staff and lack of senior management presence. At certain times young people dominated the bar areas with noise and foul language.Without restraint.Making it very uncomfortable to use these facilities. Glass recycling bins being emptied at 4.45 AM. Marstons need to invest in substantial refurbishment of this fine building in the centre of Ringwood.
We could not have been made to feel more welcome. The lovely manager was always friendly and chatty and runs the hotel very well. The bar is fun and friendly and the cooked breakfasts were delicious. I would highly recommend a stay here. And the location is excellent, well situated by nice restaurants and great shops, little boutiques and the Furlong.
Having to leave!
Food was good. Easy place to find.
Filthy window sills. Room hotter than hell. Noise from street
Excellent location, friendly & good atmosphere. Rooms were clean & functional. Breakfast was varied & plentiful
Found we could have booked it cheaper.
Very thin walls, noise throughout night so very disturbed sleep
Lovely historical Inn in a beautiful village. Rooms have been modernised, but some character left. Great ales in offer. Very good breakfast.
Had no bin in room or bathroom. No WiFi reception in the room.
Good value for money and comfortable
Quite noisy traffic noise dog barking and doors slamming
Good access to the New Forest and surrounding areas. Centrally located in lovely town with plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants.
I am aware that the pub is very old but it smelt very musty. The window frames and sills were filthy and in desperate need of painting.
The room and bathroom were comfortable and clean .The staff were friendly and the car park system actually worked, which is unusual for a town centre hotel location.
Breakfast was only adequate, water for the tea was in a flask and not hot enough.Beer was of poor quality and food uninspiring so we ate elsewhere, although we had intended to stay there. No teaspoons in the room!
It was very comfortable, friendly and good value for money, although only there for 1 night would go again, although I think we had a ghost in the room, do not really believe in ghosts but something very strange happened, wait and see!!!!!
Limited on time for breakfast in weekdays and did not know and was not reminded when booking in so missed out, but I suppose our own fault but no leaflet in room telling you the times which you usually get in hotels
dirty, not the room I booked with you, scratched all night - both of us, market stall set up out side room at 5.20 am people shouting at that time it needs a power hose clean -don't waste your money
Everything from the car park to the food and the beer. The staff were very friendly and could not do enough to help you.
Nothing could not find fault with anything.
As a woman travelling and staying on my own in a cosy single room I felt comfortable with the hotel which was in a convenient location for getting around Ringwood. The staff were very pleasant and efficient.
Made to feel welcome. Very enjoyable food.Others in the hotel very friendly Delightfully old atmosphere , I cannot stand glass and plastic! I have already suggested the hotel to others.
My bed frame needed a service. The surfaces could be cleaner especially the bedside cabinet but I handled that myself. Just what were the two large dirty bricks under the bed for ?
Friendly staff, good location
A bit run down , needs a god clean and the breakfast was one of the worst I have ever had.
