5 mins drive to park & ride for York. Very quiet village but group of holiday lets in old stables were charming

Had to drive everywhere, no restaurants within walking distance so couldn't have wine with meals.

The staff were very helpful and understanding of the situation we were in, my friend was very ill. My daughter in Australia recommended we stayed there. Her family had stayed there in2012 and loved it.

*Friendly and helpful staff. *Cottage was comfortable. *There is a small grocery store walking distance from the cottage. *Nicely located to many sites around the area. *If ever in the area I would go back and stay at Orillia House B&B. **Great restaurants in York.....Milton's too, York Brewry, Trembling Madness. The fact that it was in a little village away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The staff were very warm and friendly. Thank you for a great stay although it was short I'm sure we'll be back when we are next in York x

Good location, Quiet and peaceful, Nice cottage layout, Friendly staff, Nice breakfast,

Advertised wifi was only available when stood outsidethe cottage and next to the house itself. No breakfast included when staying in a cottage and not advertised properly telling you this fact.

Spacious accommodation with character, close to park and ride and a good shopping centre.

Lighting, heating, doors etc. we're sub-standard and needed attention, and wi-if reception was almost non-existent.

This cottage was a nice size for a family of five with bigger kids. Not far from York at all.

The WiFi reception was not good at all. My husband had some work to do on his laptop and it was difficult to impossible.

The cottage was lovely, and little touches like being left a marked bus timetable for getting in to York made us feel really welcome. The cleanliness was faultness, we both had two nights of wonderful comfy sleeps on a good mattress, clean towels were provided also. We were left a emergency contact number in case of any difficulties as the owners were away- which we did use when we managed to fuse the house and be unable to locate the switchboard ( so thank yuou to the owners father who came out and located it- many apologies again for being ding bats!!). Also, we were told a little about the local pub where we enjoyed drinks Saturday night which is literally two minutes away. Kitchen was well stocked, cottage was warm and comfortable. We stayed in Bluebell.

It is not a negative as such- yet we had packed a dvd to watch whilst our curry cooked and we had a couple of drinks in the pub - so may be an added bonus would be a dvd player made available. We also had no signal on 3 network- not the owners fault and although the wifi key had been left we could not make it work- something we did not feel was important enough to bother the emergency contact with, actually had enough communication with the little ones back home when we were out and about. Also, at 6'2 the setee was a little small in Bluebell for Nick- being a small cotage two seater- but again, probably my fault for not thinking to tell owners. No negatives at all- just may be a couple of suggestions.
