Quite, everything worked, nice ground floor facilities(except only one beer on tap), dogs allowed, free parking Eighty pounds for a room in the attic, stairs a health hazard, having to jump a puddle at the front gate |

not to far to travel clean hotel comfortable friendly lots to do around the area. a larger lounge area would have been nice somewhere other than your room to relax in after meals. |

The breakfast was good. It was clean and the staff were friendly enough although the girls did not ever ask if everything was okay with our room. The bed was not very comfortable and the mattress sunk in the middle, no duvet (sheet and blanket), we expected our "superior room" to be just a really nice 'room' but we got a room with a kitchen, which we didnt ask for. Would have preferred a nicer room without kitchen. And Wifi only worked in the 'conservatory' whereas it was advertised as being available everywhere in the hotel. Was not very impressed with the decor, carpets, bedding etc did not match and it would be easy to do this. |

Location and friendliness of staff. The bed was too soft and small. The cooked breakfast was very nice, but small portions. |

Our room was comfortable and a decent size, although we were in the attic room my husband (who is over 6ft) had enough head room. It was well located for travelling and eating out if you didn't use their dinner option. The hotel was opposite the New Forest so you had the option of walks without needing the car. The staff were friendly and it had the feel of a family run hotel. We would love to go back. |

It was in a good location and reasonably priced compared to others in the area. The bed was very small - nowadays I would expect at least a 5' bed in all guest rooms and the noise through the walls from other rooms was a disturbance. |

Our roomwas newly refurbished and very comfortable and the food was excellent. Service in the restaurant was too rapid, pre dinner drinks, two courses and coffee was served in less than 45 mins leaving rather a gap to fill for the rest of the evening. |

Very clean, excellent breakfast and evening meal beautifully presented. Superior room with whirlpool bath was lovely. Very surprised this hotel is only a 2 star, it's a little gem. There was nothing I didn't like. The only comment is that the shower could have been more powerful |

The hotel staff were freindly and helpful also the location was ideal for local amenities and easy access to the forest. The room was adequate although with it being an 'attic' room, the ceiling sloped in the bathroom which caused us to hit our head a few times. Could be helped if the door was turned around. |

Friendliness of staff. Dogs in hotel rooms - not sure if there were certain rooms only but wouldn't like to think there had been dogs in the room previous to me. My son wasn't with us but he has an allergy which can be aggrevated by dogs, even when they've left the room. |

Welcoming and reasonable standard of Hotel, room was as described, bed was very large indeed. Food was of a good standard. shortness of breakfast times and the fact that check out time was earlier than advertised on the web site. |

We were given a free room upgrade and they seemed very pleasant and helpful. If breakfast hadnt have been included and i had've paid £12 for it I would have been disappointed with the portion sizes! |

Comfortable, friendly hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Few minuets walk into Lyndhurst, good location and plenty of car parking. Easy access to all parts of the New Forest and surrounding areas. |
