The Ormond At Tetbury  

This hotel is excellent in all respects. It represents real value for money without any sacrifices. The staff were all excellent, the food could not be faulted and the chef deserves real praise. There was an excellent selection of real ales, all too often missing in modern hotels. The room was very clean and comfortable. All round excellence.

The only minor problem is that the hotel is without a car park. This can be fully understood as it is an old coaching inn with an arch too narrow for modern cars! This is most definitely not a complaint!

The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel has charm. It is located in central Tetbury, yet was not noisy.

Gorgeous room with a fabulous boutique feel. Stunning furniture and facilities and amazing bathroom.

The member of staff I initially spoke to when booking in was rather curt.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful As a mature lady I only have one suggestion that a bath handle would have been useful We stayed in a superior deluxe double .

The closeness of the restaurant so we could have the baby monitors on while we had dinner.

Free parking is a good 10 minute walk up a very steep hill. No childseats for the restaurant and at breakfast Food was a bit expensive Not really child friendly

Bedroom slightly smaller than expected but well appointed - large bathroom.

It was not made clear that the car park was half a mile away in a public car park. we knew there was no parking on site but not aware so far away.

Just about everything - a breif stay but extremely enjouyable.

The Staff were really friendly and attentive. The bedroom was beautifully decorated and furniture was lovely. Bed really comfy too. The food was an excellent standard and was really tasty. Very relaxing atmosphere and a great location. Would I go back or recommend? Yes I think I probably would.

No parking Corridors a bit scruffy which kind of didnt fit with everything else which was lovely. Bar menu was quite expensive for what you got - Tiny goats cheese baguette and very small salad was £7.95

On arrival the staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. The room was lovely, especially the four poster bed. We had a very nice weekend and would stay again.

Comfortable and clean

A bit concerned that the desk was unmanned which may allow access to the room key box just behind the counter especially at busy times in the bar/restaurant which did not allow immediate attention to the arriving visitor(or villain?)

We thought that one of the nicest aspects of the Hotel was the friendliness of the staff- open and welcoming without being obsequious - everyone acknowledged us. The room was quirky because it's a listed building but beautifully decorated and furnished. Good value for money with a full breakfast included in the price. Car parking which we had anticipated might be a problem in the event was easy with plenty of overnight parking available on the road or in a car park very close by. All in all an excellent experience. We have found a little jewel and we will be back!

For our taste the bed was a tad hard but that's a question of taste.
