The Ormond has a large, self-contained and newly refurbished function room called the Coach House, which is ideal for small weddings, conferences, christenings and birthday parties.
There are helpful additions for those with babies, including cots and highchairs, toys and baby supplies. Baby monitors work in the restaurant and bar from most bedrooms or a qualified babysitter can be arranged. The beautiful courtyard and garden has a safe enclosed children’s play area.
If you want to unwind after a long day you can take advantage of the Wi-Fi access in the bar. The bar also shows major sporting events on a large-screen TV.
The Ormond has a relaxed, stylish bar with a great atmosphere for informal dining, drinks, coffee and cake, or relaxing with a newspaper.
The Ormond has won 2 awards for food in recent months, most notably from Cotswold Life Magazine Food & Drink. The award for 'most distinctive local menu' was praise for the delicious, gutsy, modern British cooking from head chef, David Cameron.
Our 15 en suite bedrooms include the Stable Room, a very large room with a vaulted ceiling, the Four Poster Room and 3 family rooms, which include a double bed and single bed.
Double rooms are classified as either standard (with shower room) or superior (with shower and bath). Double rooms are sold during the week for single occupancy at a single rate price.
The rooms vary in size and style as you would expect of a building dating from the 17th century; they have all been recently and stylishly refurbished and are individually designed to be comfortable and welcoming, without a hint of minimalism.
Room service is available in the evening until 21:30.
The Ormond is situated in the very centre of Tetbury, ideal for exploring the town's many antique shops or for visiting Westonbirt Arboretum just 5 km (3 miles) away.
By Car:
- From junction 17 on the M4, follow the signs to Cirencester.
- After approximately 8 km (5 miles), you will go around Malmesbury, then take the left hand turn to Tetbury from the ring road.
- When you reach Tetbury, you will come to the Marketplace (a building on stilts!).
- Go straight over the mini-roundabout and The Ormond is 50 metres down Long Street, on the right.
