Orrest Cottage  

David & Laura are a very nice couple who gave personal touches to everything. The breakfast that they prepared were so good. And the room was pleasant and cosy. Location is good as it is just a few minutes walk from the train & bus station.

Loved the location which is very convenient since it is very near the railway station.Both David n Flora are very friendly bunch of hosts. Enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely recommend to my friends

It is in the city centre and next to Windermere railway station and supermarket so the location is excellent. The couple served us are very nice and helpful.

The owners were very friendly young couple and very helpful with tips. Excelent breakfast, central location, very clean and modern design. Cuzy. Comfortable bed. Only 3 rooms which makes it feel like you're alone.

We stayed at the room at the top floor which had a low ceiling in part of the roon and in the bathroom (not suitable for tall people:-) ) . The window facing a main road.

The room was great, the decoration was modern and stylish and had a very good size en suite. The highest quality 3 star Bed and Breakfast we have ever stayed in! The owners were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, just what you need to set you up for the day! Orrest cottage is excellent value for money. We will definitely be visiting again!

Unbelievable value for money. Food was delicious with special homemade recipes made from local ingredients. Room was very clean, beautifully decorated and very comfortable - nice little touches like homemade flap jack with our welcome pack and trays for dirty shoes after hiking as well as a full range of bathroom products to use. The owners were very friendly and welcoming - could not have done more for us. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone staying in Windermere.

The whole experience from booking, e-mail communication with the hosts, letting ourselves in at a time convenient with us, comfortable bed, clean room and amazing breakfast made our trip fabulous. We will stay there next time too and have told our family and friends it's the place to stay.

We had a very pleasant stay at Orrest cottage,the host was very friendly and helpful.Our room was cosy and clean.Breakfast was also included in the price,we were offered to choose from a variety of breakfast choices. Location was fantastic,just a short walk from the windermere station. We highly recommend any travellers to stay with this hotel!

Easy to find, just outside the Windermere station. The host was nice and friendly. The room decoration is attractive.

One of the best BnB's I have ever stayed in, ecen though I had to shorten my stay, the time I was there was perfect and couldn't have asked for anything better. Will 100% be booking again.

Fantastic hosts - great communication from the start. Very helpful, gave great advice and nothing seemed too much trouble. Lovely room - very comfortable with little touches including toiletries, fresh milk, delicious flapjack and WiFi. Great choice of breakfasts on offer - something for everyone with lots of fresh coffee and toast etc. Brilliant location - 5 minutes walk from Windermere itself, with the Orrest Head walk over the road. 10-15 mins from Ambleside, 20 mins from the Langdales - what more could you ask for. Brilliant time had by both of us and yes, we will be back.

Not always easy to park "outside" but there are LOTS of places to park a couple of minutes walk away. This is not the fault of the B&B and shouldn't deter anyone from staying here!
