Fenstanton Huntingdon
A seventeenth century manor house set on 20 acres of mature parkland in the conservation village of Orton Longueville yet only 2.5 miles from the center of the city and the A1. Previously the home of the Marques of Huntly.
There is a choice of dining in either the elegant award-winning oak paneled Huntly Restaurant, with its warm and intimate atmosphere and a selection of wines to suit most palates, or The Ramblewood Inn, a traditional country pub converted from the old stable block. The Ramblewood Inn offers a wide selection of real ales and hearty food in either the bar or sun room. Peterborough has many local attractions including the museum, a magnificent cathedral, Nene Valley Railway (7.5 mile steam train line) and Burghley House. It is also an excellent center for visiting Cambridge which is only half an hour away. Special getaway 2 day offers are available all year. The hotel is adjacent to Nene Park and two 18 hole golf courses. Picturesque Stamford is nearby. Hotel Rooms: 72, Hotel Chain: Best Western. Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 18:21 from United Kingdom.

The room was clean and comfortable, especially the bed. Brilliant TV, the food in the Ramblewood Inn was good and good value for money, the service there was excellent. All the staff were really nice, polite and friendly, Hot water was excellent too. Our room had a bath with a shower attachment and was 'under the eaves' which made it awkward getting in and out, would have preferred a hower.

The building and location were beautiful, as was the food in the hotel restaurant, love the architecture and how the hotel decor was reflected the ambience of the era only comment was the gardens on the conservatory side could do with some large trees to obscure houses in the distance Thoroughly enjoyed our stay would stay again for sure Food in none hotel restaurant not brilliant breakfast overly expensive

The pool, that was all. Everything but the pool. This was not a 4 star hotel, Well Over priced The spa bath did not work, I had no wi-fi, that did not work in my room, but was told at 11pm that I could move to the other side of the hotel where the wi-fi was working.. Only one towel in the room. The restaurant was very expensive. When I mentioned the faults to the receptionist, she just said we will have to try harder next time. But there won't be a nexttime. The hotel was not much better than a budget hotel.

I felt comfortable and relaxed and safe even though I was travelling on my own. Beautiful grounds in an ideal location for many business or leisure activities. Although conferences and a wedding were taking part during my stay they did not impact on the placid nature of the hotel. I could barely hear the disco from my room. The only down side was that it took quite a while for lunch to be served to mysel and my sister. This was no doubt due to staff being busy catering for a wedding party. If I knew there was a wedding when staying at the hotel another time this may put me off having lunch at the hotel. A lovely stay overall- thankyou

The room was very poor. No shower?? You could not stand up in the bath as it was located under the eaves of the roof??!!! Very disappointed and will be demanding a refund! The room was very poor. The spa services and relaxation was amazing, the four poster bed was such a romantic touch, and the grounds are beautiful! The pricing of the breakfast is outrageous! 15 pounds per head for a luke warm breakfast which was not very filling seems outrageously overpriced!

We were upgraded to a fabulous spacious four poster room on request, with fantastic views of the grounds. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and sumptuous and the bathroom luxurious and clean. The staff in both the hotel and the spa were excetionally friendly. The spa and pool area were delightful and a wonderful addition for a relaxing break. Architecture and views of the building itself were lovely. The ramblers rest adjoining pub/restaurant was a let down. It was a scruffy noisy place with poor choice and quality of food, althought the staff were very friendly. Would have liked more variety of channels on the tv.

Spacious Rooms in a charming building. There are plenty of choices for eating in the hotel and the 'pub' option was farly reasonable. I thought the breakfast price at £15 was a little disappointing. The buffet was quite dried up and unappealing by 8.00am even though there was over an hour to go!

The spa facilities are excellent and the swimming pool is of a very good size for an hotel. The water pressure is wonderful and the bath filled in a couple of minutes (I live where the water pressure is very low!). The staff were all very professional and friendly.
