The Osborne Hotel  

Beautiful location and wonderful dining room. It is rare these days to stay at a hotel and have a breakfast cooked to order - excellent!

Reception was sparce

The hotel is conveniently situated, clean, comfortable, good restaurant and with exceptionally friendly staff which is why we use it whenever we visit the area. We particularly like the fact that even the rooms to the rear, although no view, are very spacious with all amenities so we are happy to stay in them.

The Hotel architecture is stunning....all the rooms have period features and situated in a gorgeous cliff edge garden, Our room was spacious and light/airy and the breakfast served was good qualitity.

We noticed how tired in general the decoration was, it does not a re- paint, esp in our bedroom. Pls get rid of the "Shower Curtian" it is very dated and unhygenic to say the least!!.

Exterior design and features plus sea view

Evening meal in the Langtree Restaurant was not good, overcooked, although Sunday Lunch was good. Bar staff were not trained and knew very little about the products that they were working with.

Our reception was very good and throughout our stay the staff were very pleasant, helpful and warm. The room was comfortable and spacious but it would have been more comfortable if we could have opened the windows beyond 3inches especially at night. The food was always well presented but the contents were not always so good, for example a dumpling served with one main course was very heavy and almost tasteless. At breakfast the bacon must have been cut with a microtome, it was so thin and thus cooked to a hard consistency. Nevertheless, my wife and I enjoyed our stay and will return at some time in the not too distant future. Richard Jones.

The main restauraunt was very disapointing and we chose to only use it the once. The shower pressure in the room was very poor. The pool area needed a major clean up

Truly friendly staff who had been there a long time and liked their positions. Food good, but, like the accomodation just a little bit pricey even out of season. Nice atmosphere.

An excellent hotel well located away from the crowds but within easy distance of Torbay centre. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Staff vere helpful and welcoming and the resturant out of this world!! Thank you for a very memorable stay

It's old charm, excellent staff, position from the sea and it's anity to afford sufficient parking. Free Internet is essential.

I would not come to Torquay in Summer as I believe traffic would spoil my visit to this lovely part of England.
