Breathtaking views from our room across the bay. Very friendly and helpful staff. Loved the hotel and its location. Bathroom a bit dated with shower flow erratic.

We have been going to the Osborne for many years. I think this time was the 6th stay. We keep going back as it is a quite relaxing place to be with plenty of facilities. We don't get many breaks as we run our own business. this was the first break we have had for 2 years, so we we looking forward to a relaxing weekend. Especially as i currently have a pain in my back and struggling to walk. DISAPPOINTED We had a good trip down the Torquay At about 7pm we felt hungry so we walked over to the Brasserie. and were very disappointed to find it was closed. although in the book in the room it states the brasserie was open until 9pm!! we then discovered it was closed at 6.pm every evening? This meant we had no choice but to eat in langry's for every meal or get a taxi or drive to a restaurant. We went on for lunch on Sunday and stayed out until around 5 pm. We came back to sit out on the patio and have a cup tea and order a meal from the Brasserie. We then discovered the Brasserie was shut so again no food!! This was a back holiday Monday! A childrens party on the patio we screaming kids running around. I didn't mind the fact that there was a party. But the screaming was unbearable and the parents were ignoring them and just getting on with there drinking. they had no respect for any body else that were staying at the hotel. It was not only us that were disappointed,i could see people that were sun bathing on the verandas going into there rooms and people leaving the patio. We left and went back to Torquay for Dinner! We booked out early on Monday morning as we were so disappointed. WE WONT BE COMING BACK MR & MRS Quick

Our room was a little warm due to recent sunshine. The Staff bent over backwards for my pregnant wife by adjusting the temperature and providing us with our own fan! They were also wonderfully polite. Can't usually afford to stay in such a nice hotel but it was an anniversary and it was perfect for the occasion, spent a lovely evening walking on the beach! Many thanks

Location Room too hot at night, turned radiator down but did not make any difference. No Bitter at Bar , larger only. Price for room rather expensive considering hotel appeared half empty and lacked atmosphere. Four poster bed(four pieces of small cheap wood) looked like something cheap from MFI

The view The attitude of certain staff members. We asked for a baby cot which wasn't set up when we arrived. We then had to wait for 20mins while they struggled to set it up. We were made to feel that this was our fault. Similarly, my daughter has a nut allergy, and we we mentioned this at breakfast we were told in full earshot of other diners that, again this was our fault and we should have rung in advance to advise of this. Really? Is this what a 4 star hotel should do?

The Hotel lived up to the adverts regarding location and service and although built many years ago has kept up its appearance. I intend to stay again on Devon visits and certainly tell other people of my perfect stay. Go ahead and book.

The man who booked us in can only be described as excellent he should be writing the text books on customer care. It was a one night stop to celebrate our wedding Aniversery I first became aware of The Osbourne way back in the seventies and thought, one day I would stay there, well it was worth the wait.My wife and I will be back! The whole experience and ambiance, set The Osbourne head and shoulders above many others. The bar was rather sparce in it's range of products. We took breakfast in our room which was excellent however eating from a coffee table was rather uncomfortable.
