Convenient enough for events at Gosforth Park- Very comfortable with modern amenities in well lit-up, centrally heated bedroom. Very good ensuite shower room + wash basin in bedroom. Extra blanket in wardrobe. Single room spacious, not cramped. Pleasant and spacious enough Foyer. Friendly and helpful reception staff- Great convenience of excellent, reasonably priced Italian restaurant attached to hotel- (with efficient, courteous and friendly staff) Only paying when I arrived even though was booked online weeks ahead, was a great bonus. I shall use Osborne again when I go back to Newcastle Hotel is very good. No complaints But Government vat added to room price made it shoot up.

The location and the price which included breakfast which was very good. The room was nicely decorated and clean. There are not enough parking spaces, we were lucky as we manage to get the last space.

The location was the only good point. Hotel is in dire need of refurbishment. Rooms small dirty and beds have plastic draw sheets on. The receptionist was unfriendly and rude no customer service. The restaurant for breakfast is in the Italian next door no one tells you this but the staff there are welcoming and friendly.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The reception area was nicely decorated and to a higher standard than expected for a 2 star hotel (English Tourist Board). Very nearby streetside parking was available and a free parking permit was provided (for a £20 cash deposit). My single en-suite room was clean and tidied up every day. Free WiFi internet access was possible in the lounge and in my room. I was given a quieter room facing away from the main road at the front on request. This in conjunction with a small table and comfortable stool allowed me to adequately prepare for my meeting. The room had a small lcd tv which (after retuning) had all the standard Freeview channels. A cooked breakfast was included and offered a standard choice (eggs, b acon, tomatoes, baked beans, mushrooms etc.) with unusual extras (E.G. kipper). I had fairly noisy neighbours on Saturday night as is typical for a city hotel - I appreciate though that this is not the hotel's fault. Apart from that no issues.

Great hotel for the price. For £55 for a double room I didn't expect it to be as nice as it was.

I think the gentleman at the reception when we checked in was called Joe, he was very polite and had a laugh with us. He couldnt do enough for us and had an excellent reassuring answer for everything. Parking spaces are limited especially as we went on NYE but after asking Joe for advice he told us where to park around the area for free and lent us a parking permit for a small deposit. The location is smack bang in the middle of Jesmond a smart row of bars and restaurants and is only a mile north of the city centre. After a boozy night out the night porter called Joe kept us in drink at reasonable prices about £2.50 a pint and had a laugh with us and a few other guests. The room was very clean and I would rate it alot higher than 2 star especially as I work for the Hilton Hotel and regularly stay in their hotels allover. This isn't a complaint more just letting people know as I couldn't find the information on this site. The quadruple room we chose was a double bed and then 2 singles.

Nice big room. Good choice at breakfast and the cooked breakfast was lovely. Lack of car parking facilites and the surrounding area is difficult to park in as alot of it is permit holders only. The hotel does have limited permits with a refundable deposit of £20.00
