The location is brilliant for food and drink. Staff were extremely helpful with getting us sorted out with taxi's into Newcastle central (only 5 min). Good fry up the next morning which is included in the price and the showers are fab, so powerful. Would definitely book up again!

I stayed in a comfortable well decorated single rear facing quiet room. The en-suite bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful with plentiful hot water at all hours. The full english breakfast set me up for the rest of the day. The bar at reception was a welcome change from the usual room mini bar. The hotel had an Italian restaurant which had a good reputation although I did not use during my visit. The hotel is close the Metro system (Jesmond) and the city centre is easily walking distance. The staff were friendly particularly the sikh nightwatchman who is a perfect gentleman. Very good value for money. Although towels were provided daily the room was not serviced for two of the three days I stayed. However tea bags, milk and shower gel were immediately provided on request. Window opened outwards on a hinge with either full open or closed as the only option. When open it was difficult to close as you have to reach out quite a distance to pull the window handle back in to close it. Small issues only.

The room was dirty, the bedding was dirty, there was no net curtains to offer some privacy with the curtain open, there was no arm chair to sit on, the bathroom was a disgrace and we had to wipe the whole place with hygiene wipes the shower area was badly blackend with mold, the bath was chipped, the quilt we removed because it was badly stained, The pillows where beyond belief in the amount of staining, and was very noisy at night and early morning. Stay Away

Good value; all necessary facilities were there. Generally a little bit shabby and run-down in appearance.

I think the gentleman at the reception when we checked in was called Joe, he was very polite and had a laugh with us. He couldnt do enough for us and had an excellent reassuring answer for everything. Parking spaces are limited especially as we went on NYE but after asking Joe for advice he told us where to park around the area for free and lent us a parking permit for a small deposit. The location is smack bang in the middle of Jesmond a smart row of bars and restaurants and is only a mile north of the city centre. After a boozy night out the night porter called Joe kept us in drink at reasonable prices about £2.50 a pint and had a laugh with us and a few other guests. The room was very clean and I would rate it alot higher than 2 star especially as I work for the Hilton Hotel and regularly stay in their hotels allover. This isn't a complaint more just letting people know as I couldn't find the information on this site. The quadruple room we chose was a double bed and then 2 singles.

Nice big room. Good choice at breakfast and the cooked breakfast was lovely. Lack of car parking facilites and the surrounding area is difficult to park in as alot of it is permit holders only. The hotel does have limited permits with a refundable deposit of £20.00
