It was in a very central spot and the old town was just a 10 min walk. Fairly clean room. There was a fried chicken fast- food delivery in the front basement of the building and its ventilation system came in the hotel. Consequently, the whole corridor and, some times the room as well, smelled fried chicken. Moreover, the window of the room was on an airshaft and, at some point, fried chicken smell came in from there as well. |

reception open all night - very useful if one comes at 1am, very close to city centre - saved us a lot of time since we were only 3 days and enabled to see and visit a lot, room was very clean and comfortable, breakfast good offer, very charming |

It was convenient to Wembley where my son has just recently relocated to pursue degree at Univ of Westminster. It was advertised on web site as 3 star but was very definitely a 2 star standard |

Friendly & efficient staff in the dining room & on reception. Spacious clean room, well placed, near to the city centre and railway station. Good breakfast. A little run down, with a rather antiquated lift, but this was reflected in the price, - it was cheap! |

Breakfast was good. Dining staff helpful. Although the room was adequate, and I think this had been recently renovated, workmanship appeared shoddy. Carpets in corridors looked dirty and stained. Also, there was a unpleasant odour in the corridors. Dining room was exceptionally busy at breakfast, some people had to wait for a table. |

Manky hotel which I would have left had I not arrived late. Not helped by roadworks outside. Did not complain as had very cheap deal. Deserves no stars and total makeover. Disgustng blind splattered with coffee(??) first thing you saw in the room. Lift felt very unsafe. Irony - room info said they strive to be best in Edinburgh! |

It was in an ideal central location. Our room was large, warm and clean. Some of the decoration in our room needed upgrading. But the on suite facilities were very good. |

Location, very handy for Edinburgh's main shopping areas, bus and rail stations. Hotel is very basic, carpets threadbare, and breakfast minimally acceptable. |

I liked having a four poster bed and a large room. There was a very tatty flag flying just outside my windo. I would prefer a non-tatty flag. |

Proximity to Playhouse theatre. Room decor and window blinds grubby, pillows had disgusting stains all over them (require boiling for health and hygiene purposes). Single glazing was no defense against the constant noise from traffic and general public on the street/ road below. I would recommend ear plugs be distributed to boarders. No toiletries were available either. |

It was central to everything It was very basic I had to ask for a chair to be put in my room as there was only the bed to sit on! this request was denied initally( That room doesnt have a chair) but they did put a chair in the next day as and I quote from a staff member there should be a chair there, plus no chest of drawers for your clothes, only one very small wardrobe and a bedside cabinet with only one drawer |

Location was excellent for our theatre and shopping visit. Also breakfast and service were very good. We felt the hotel was very tired and was in need of some upgrading. |
