The location is ok. Sheets and towels are clean. We booked a double room with bathroom but we were given a triple room, that's great. Very spacious. The hotel staffs are a little bit aloof but not rude. The hotel is old so it wont give you sparkle cripsy kind of feeling, its ok I would say. |

On arrival the receptionist could not have been more helpful and the location was perfect. Also have to say the price was great value for money AND included a full breakfast. My single room was clean and cosy and at the back of the hotel which made it quiet. |

Excellent location is only redeeming feature. Run down, unreliable lift; window that wouldnt close. I have stayed in better hostels. |

The hotel location was very central and the perfect location for our visit to Edinburgh, there was nothing else positive about this hotel....... The hotel was awful, on arrival at 5.30pm we checked in and went straight to our room to find that the mattress's were wet, on complaining we were handed 2 towels to put over the mattress's to sleep on, we then said that this is not acceptable and the receptionist then reccommended we turned the mattress's but at no point were we offered clean sheets for the beds.. Needless to say we did not sleep on the beds and had to sleep on the 2 chairs in the room which i do not feel was worth £77 for a night, we are in the process of trying to get a refund. |

Shower in the room was excellent The service at breakfast was terrible. There were 4 female guests arrived down for breakfast in bare feet and pyjamas. Nothing was said. Did not give a very good impression. I do not want to sit at breakfast and look at people in their night clothes |

The Shower was luke warm, morning/evening... The breakfast was good. The noise from the traffic outside kept myself from having a good nights sleep. |

It was in a convenient location and clean. It was extremely shabby, noisy and the breakfast was awful, the coffee unspeakable. |

For us it was the breakfast and the lounge, good facilities The lift and service was a bit slow at breakfast time, not knowing who had just arrived and clearing away dirty tables. |
