Everything was fine, the breakfast was great, the place peaceful, really nothing to complain about. The lift wasn't working most of the time. |

First of all was hotel staff very nice, we had lovely twin room #507 with bath, comfortable beds and tv. Breakfast was good and of corse location of the hotel is super. We had a great time there! Facilities are a bit tired and carperts look dirty but in other hand - its probably really hard to keep these light soft carperts clean, so... |

The bed was incredibly comfortable, the hotel and area were very quiet and the location perfect for both new and old town. Also the room was perfectly clean and overall very good value. |

The scottish breakfast was very good and the price for per night was really cheap for the location. The staff were terribly unfriendly especially those receptionists. They never say "Thank you" even once. However I read their policy for guests which is "We would love to be the best hotel in Edinburgh". It's obviously never gonna be happen. I would not recommend this hotel at all. |

It's old & ugly, but it's only 5 min walk from Princes street and its really cheap. For one or two nights in Edinburg it's perfect. |

central and perfect location to the playhouse.Breakfast was excerlent value for money. Myself my daughter and my mother had not one wink of sleep due to being on the front, the noise from outside people and traffic was unbearable, it never ceased, it went on all night,untill 6am the following morning, you dont come away for the night to be kept awake all night!!! an absolute nightmare!!!!!! |

The room was comfortable and quiet and the hotel provided a good Scottish style breakfast. The hotel is rather in need of renovation, but this did not detract from it's reasonable quality. More for a weekend than a long stay. |

The Hotel is really 7 min from the Airlink bus (the nearest stop at Waverley St), going with my suitcase. It's easy to find. As I was leaving at 6pm I asked just for smth to eat and they gave me at 5.30 the continental breakfast. I was touched. They should have written that they don't have soap or gel, I'd bring them myself, so as the shower cap. I didn't ask about a hair-dryer and it may be useful for someone, write about it, please |

Good location for all city activities inc. sightseeing,entertainment,shopping,bus&train.Bedroom was clean & warm & refurbished fairly recently.Top floor room needed an efficient especially for a senior guest Could have been brighter in public rooms. The antiquated lift was a disaster'Most times I had to walk to/from 3rd floor as other guests did not close double doors or it just did not function. Public toilets were not efficacious. |

quite clean and comfortable and in a great location. room size also good. able to leave luggage in luggage room prior to booking in later on. 24 hour reception good and able to come and go as we pleased. all in all good value for money. luggage room not secure and although it is our responsibilty for our own possessions a lock on the door would be a good idea. Not very organised at breakfast time. recieved 3 cooked breakfast instead of 4 and were then told that breakfast had ended. No toast given either despite other tables having this. the dining room was busy and so were the girls serving but maybe needs a bit more organisation. |
