Location was excellent almost in the town centre (5 Min walk). Parking facilities were also excellent. Room was well equipped and comfortable and the staff were helpful and friendly.
Very large rooms on top floor. Large bathroom with bath & good shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast menu. Good location and fairly quiet on edge of town next to Waitrose retail park and Thistle shopping Centre. Great for a short stopover in the very vibrant and interesting town of Stirling,
Probably not ideal for a prolonged stay as it is more a bar/restaurant without a comfortable quiet residents lounge - other than that, we were very happy to stay there.
Central location. Handy parking , nice breakfast. Big rooms.
Beds were slightly too firm.
Good food, great price
Neighbourhood looks a bit dodgy. Independence will only make that worse.
Staff very helpful meals were great and very reasonable. Everything was spotless
Bed was very hard though in saying that I realise this is a personal preference So unfortunately didn't sleep much. Lift sounded like it was about to break down.
The size of the room The food and service.
The fittings in the bedroom were loose and the shower had dirty grouting and mould in the corners. Also I sat in the bar for 2.5 hours and the same dirty glasses were on the bar.
Grant was extremely helpful - he found me a dentist for an emergency dental problem. Everything was great - the breakfast was very good and our room was huge.
Exceptionally large room with huge en suite. Very comfortable and clean and hotel very centrally located. Staff very friendly. food very good and good value for money. Would definitely stay again.
very noisy lift. Breakfast service a bit disorganised and could be improved upon.
Room not clean, Toilet seat broken off, reported, but not fixed by second day. Changed our room. Breakfast was very poor, no toast. Dinner was tasty but waited 40 minutes. Not clued up on tourist information. Loud music from restuarant below.
The space available in our room was a refreshing change from most hotels in the UK. And everything was in excellent condition.
Our only concern was the broken hair dryer, but that was replaced as soon as we asked for a new one.
Stayed during Commonwealth Games great room and breckfast friendly and very helpful staff. Would have liked a small fridge in room to keep things cool( was hottest time in Scotland for years) Would recomend to everyone.
It's a great location and the rooms are modern and clean.
The price for what you get is outrageous. Not a deal at all.
Location and parking. Very good spacious room and bathroom.
Traffic noise in room very bad due to single glazing, hence getting to sleep is an issue. Breakfast service in general by single member of staff very poor and slow. Once something in buffet area runs out it does not get replaced. Coffee served and finished before you get offered anything else (if you're lucky) due to the very slow service.
The hotel was comfortable. We had a large room that was well appointed
The hotel was situated next to a noisy road
Good location with an easy walk to the shops.
Breakfast was a bit hit and miss. On our first morning it was good as we were the only people there. On the second it was busy and the sole waiter was over run.
Lovely, modern hotel. Very clean and fresh. Rooms were very comfy, and nice big bathroom. Breakfast good, and had a really nice lunch. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back. Thanks.
Location is easy to access and close to sites of interest. Rooms are spacious and well appointed including a bath. Bar and dining facilities are modern spacious and just downstairs
With the bar just downstairs the music was very apparent until the bar closed up, not late but a little distracting. Breakfasts, the only meals we ate in the property, were extremely average both in quality of produce and presentation. The bath in the room, although welcome and a reason for my choice in the first place, was showing a fair bit of black mould around the screen etc. this is not exactly what I would expect in such a property.
Staff and facikities
As this a new establishment I am sure the staff will soon have name badges
They charge us two room charge! We did not make double booking. We must ask Booking.com to refund this charge.
When upgraded after the first room not up to standard liked extra large bathroom and bedroom space
Toilet seat loose. Glass or other object buried in carpet cut my foot. Breakfast not satisfactory .... Fruit juices put out but not replenished, also yoghurt. Had to wait up to 10mins for these by which time cooked breakfast served. Eaten after placed under 'light' so cool. Most serious error our booking lost and told no room available just two weeks before holiday which was booked5months previously. We were shocked. They did manage to find us a room eventually after we had been put through much distress and I suspect this was why we had an upgrade. They would not make any discount to the bill. It was a harrowing experience and required a gesture of good will so I do not recommend staying at this hotel.
Free parking place was good.
We waited 45 minutes for three omelets and what came was barely cooked scrambled eggs.
Great sized room, good choice of separate bath and shower. The restaurant menu was interesting, the food superb & service was excellent.
The breakfast - menu and service was fine. The ingredients were good. Unfortunately both the poached and fried eggs were solid and the tattie scones in both cases were not edible (so over cooked could not actually cut with a knife). Disappointing as every other experience was really good.
The restaurant was great big comfy bed.
Lots of road noise but a bit unavoidable.
Glasgow was fully booked for the games, so this was the best solution. The train is very convenient.
Very few personnel. There was not enough food at breakfast.
The bed was very hard
