The Terraces has a central yet peaceful setting with private parking, ideal for Stirling town centre and Braveheart country. There is free Wi-Fi access in rooms and public areas.
Score from 240 reviews Good
Built in 1854, this hotel was once the High School of Stirling. Less than 10 minutes’ walk from the city’s historic castle, it has an AA Rosette-awarded restaurant and free parking.
Score from 398 reviews Very good
Found in an original Victorian building and renovated to 21st century 5-star standards, Hotel Colessio is an opulent addition to the centre of Stirling.
Score from 101 reviews Very good
Close to Waitrose and a shopping mall
noisy pub downstairs
myself and my wife stayed at this hotel for the one night the menu was great and the food itself even better all in all we had a great time
The only fault I had was the mattress was so hard I woke next morning I felt like I had surgery on my two hips but my wife was ok with this but the level of service we encountered made up for this and I look forward to visiting this hotel again in the future
The location is the only pro.
There weren't any major highlights that I can think of, other than this hotel is extremely overpriced. Plus there was some really gross gunk on the shower head.
This hotel is close to the city centre of Stirling. The rooms are large and modern. The bathroom had a seperate bathtub which was lovely for a soak after a long days shopping. There is wifi in the rooms and in the bar which is useful for guests. The bed was large and very comfortable. The food in the restaurant is amazing. We travelled as a group of friends for my husbands birthday and our every request was accomodated. This hotel and its staff are oustanding and we will be staying again in the future. Thankyou for making our weekend very memorable
I have no complaints about my stay
Lovely spacious rooms and a great restaurant with excellent food. Well stocked bar good cocktails and the bar staff could knock up a decent martini. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and will be back. Excellent breakfast also.
Although we had a great stay with you, I would have to say that the food in particular was absolutely amazing.
Noise from traffic was extremely intrusive especially early in the morning. Double glazing would reduce this noise to a tolerable level. Even listed buildings can have double glazing fitted.
Average says it all. Not bad, but not good.
Windows, dust, noise, food was a let down, staff disinterested.
Easy to drive to Free parking Good location 5 min walk from the Albert Hall Night porter because we returned back to the hotel after 1:30am
Some hairs in the bath plug hole but it wouldn't put me of staying there again
friendly staff great food comfotable room good location
nothing not to like
We stayed Monday 3rd November for two nights. The hotel is in a brilliant location in the centre of Stirling. Literally a 5 minute walk to the shopping centre, and a 5 minute drive to Stirling Castle. The hotel is a beautiful building with large rooms. Everything you needed in the rooms. We had breakfast included which was lovely. The staff were all polite and helpful. Would recommend staying here to friends and family. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Staff were good. Food was very nice. Room was a good size.
The mattress was a bit hard for our liking but appreciate others would find it ok. Could do with improving the signage from the car parking to reception.
Food was excellent
Breakfast in price of room. New devocation in rooms
Nice stay, I got good deal by booking so far in advance.
Food in restaurant nice, tho I did find hair in my starter! I told waitress but she wasn't that apologetic. Portion size not massive but enjoyed what we had.
Lovely hotel in a perfect location for exploring Stirling and staff were very friendly.
Wi-Fi only worked one day out of three.
Rooms very clean and spacious, bathroom nice and modern with great power shower.
Found the bed to be quite hard and struggled to get comfortable.
Excellent large and confortable room
Friday night could hear the music from the bar till 12.00 and location is on a roundabout. Perfect for business/weekend traveller but maybe not an exhausted traveller just wanting sleep
Breakfast, big room, nice shower
Draft through window, noisy on Saturday night
Comfy bed, great breakfasts.
view from room, overlooking large retail car park.
The rooms were very big and comfortable and well presented and clean. there was very little to fault and the whole building was in the same standing. the bathroom was excellent and the fittigns and furniture were of a high quality.
there was no check in process, or even a reception. Someone form behind the bar found me a key and told us to go to the room?? we had to ask for toast with the breakfast which I found strange, also other guests we spoke to also found this a bit odd. other little things were missing from the experience that would have been easy and cheap to solve, with just a little thought. overall a very nice hotel well thought out and planned, but it appeared the customer service element was missing, and just a little training for the staff would make the whole thing that much better.
Staff were nice and friendly and extremely helpful. There was a problem with the heating in our room and when we asked for a heater the manager actually went home and took a heater from her house for us. Fantastic service
Breakfast buffet could have been better
The location was good for access to shopping.. The room was warm, the bed and pillows very comfortable.
Reception was very strange set up. when we arrived we could not find it, it was really the restaurant reception.. Lights at bedside were faulty and although a very nice lady tried to fix, they remained faulty our whole stay.. also the overall feeling was a bit cold and not welcoming
Location near town centre. Easy parking. Large room. Pleasant staff.
No internet connection in room.
