The look of the building from outside and the wildlife It is so overated, I would have died if i'd paid full price. There were gas canisters lying all over the grounds, the room was small and the view was a roof and guttering, plus the cigarette pot which the staff obviously use. We booked a table for the A la Carte for 6pm and the food arrived at 7pm. |

Stunning location, wonderful old building, spacious rooms, friendly, helpful staff. Very quiet and peaceful.Interesting grounds to walk in The much publicised special breakfast with fresh rolls, kippers, porridge etc didn't have any of these on the sunday morning when we took breakfast at the Hotel |

Beautiful hotel in a lovely location, would stay again. Food menu was very stuffy, no Vegitarian options on that I could see. The restaurant also looked stuffy, we ate elsewhere as we were not looking for that type of food, at those prices, we had planned a relaxing weekend with some walking and would have prefered a hearty meal, in a relaxed atmosphere. |

Fantastic 3 star hotel in a great location, the staff are very friendly and helpful, the food was out of this world and you can taste the difference of the local produce the chef's use... from the owner's farm! well done will be back without a doubt. |

Frinedly staff in a beautiful surrounding made this a relaxing stay.We had room number 3 a four poster room whcich was huge and nicely furnished. |

Lovely room and setting, good food in the restaurant Lack of a decent external area for drinks on nice days. The odd table here and there but they are only playing at it. An easily accessible poper beer garden would be fantastic |

Quiet with a relaxing ambience (pity I did not have the time to explore the grounds). Would have appreciated a dinner "menu", a la carte was rather expensive on my business budget (no complaint about the food and service it was fine). |

Hôtel calme, situé dans le village, avec un beau jardin. Chambre de belle dimension, salle de bain agréable. Personnel aimable. La salle à manger lambrissée de chêne est un peu sombre et austère à notre goût, mais elle apporte une touche d'originalité et est bien dans l'esprit anglais. |
