Concierge very helpful. Other staff not well informed although some were willing. The pool was nice but too small for the numbers of members + guests.
Outside space is for golfers. Maintenance poor -lights, TV in room did not work until we asked. First room we were allocated was next to a noisy plant unit. Geared to big groups and golfers rather than individual guests.
Great service, food and bar. Beds very comfortable
Bathroom in room looked a bit tired and could do with being upgraded
Health centre and pool facilities are excellent. Breakfast was great also
Later breakfast start time
Friendly staff Golf course bar Steam room next to showers Surrounding views from hotel Easy to find Golf course Hair dryer
Prior notice that afternoon tea would not be available, before booking. Dining room - very dark decor, little natural light. No gown in room. Small bath. Tired and old bathroom Access- pavements outside were uneven and slippery when wet. Pool area is very small Lockers in pool area difficult to use and very dark changing rooms Looking into gym from pool area Car park is too far from reception with quickest access only via stairs.
Bathroom particularly Price
Staff friendly, efficient and very willing to help
Meals very expensive, not value for money
Good value but not worth any more
Small width bed Carpets need changing Bathrooms very tired
Staff and service
Room next to service entrance very noisy
Everything except room location but I believe this to be because I used booking.com
The room location with view of the bins !! But it was cheap as I booked on here next time I will go direct
Dinner in main restaurant, salt and pepper were both empty, no teaspoons with cups at breakfast
Lovley location, clean room , nice breakfast , friendlly staff.
No lager on draught, and the bottled lagers and glasses of wine where very expensive, also prices varied for the same round of drinks in the claret jug bar
The location, tranquility and picturesque setting.
The hotel was great The staff were helpful and breakfast was fabulous
The food in the Claret Jug and Manor House was bad
Beautiful hotel a short distance from Leeds City centre, staff were lovely, welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be going back.
Food delivery was slow both in the bar and the breakfast order.
Location, nice staff, nice room, good value for money.
The service and luxury of the hotel
I didn't like room 277 view of dumpster - that was the only disappointing thing about the stay.
Fantastic place to stay.
Breakfast should start at 6.30
No water or mini bar items on room
Lovely room very friendly helpful staff
Spa, Afternoon tea, champagne bar, golf club
Wedding on Saturday was extremely rowdy and seemingly uncontained which meant paying guests were 'tollerating' the noise, mass of people around the restaurant entrance and the noise all night. Simply put, Devere should decide if they cant accomodate weddings, golf tours as well as normal paying guests then they should exclude one or the other. (We are 40 years old, well used to noise, music, fun etc...but didnt expect to find it all around the hotel when we have supposedly booked a quality weekend for our anniversary). I'm not a moaner and wasn't going to mention it but since you ask. This is a real shame as Oulton Hall is a great venue.
The champagne bar was fantastic, perfect place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon
Attended a corporate golf day with friends. Enjoyed the golf course and the weather.
Booked twin beds but told on arrival we had a double bed. Seems we were squashed in to accommodate a wedding party. Bar drinks were ridiculously expensive
