A very friendly service staff couldn't do enough to help us to find places to visit nothing was too much trouble loved it x
Amazing view of Edinburgh Castle from our bedroom! Breakfast was delicious!
evrything was superb from location to helpful staff and scrumptious food
I found the hotel easy to find from the train station. The meals were of a good quality and size. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The views of the landscape i.e. Edinburgh castle were good.
My room was uncomfortable I found it too hot even with the central heating turned off and the window open all the time. There was also a horrible odor near the lift 2 days into my stay that made using the lift a bad experience. Several of the furniture in the room i stayed looked tired and had handles missing.
The staff and the location.
Of the three lights on the ceiling in the bathroom only one worked and the extractor fan wasn't working. Reported this to the staff.
Last minute booking at great price. On arrival was delighted to be told I had a free upgrade to the castle suite. Phenomenal view and delightful room!
Location, room, breakfast, staff in all parts. Lighting in room was excellent, especially the bedside light, pleasant surprise. Fresh towels every day [unusual]. Room was well-cared for.
Shower had a leak, and temperature gauge was difficult to monitor.
Cosy room, splendid view, friendly and helpful staff. I liked everything there!!!
Warm and cosy during a cold February week, this hotel was a very pleasant discovery. The food was excellent and the facilities in general just what we wanted.
There was some traffic noise from Princes Street, we got used to it by the second night, price you pay in a big city I suppose.
Breakfast was as brilliant! Second room we had a better bathroom, was very clean and moden.
Some Reception staff where rude, the bed was very soft and uncomfortable and we had to change room as there was no hot water in the first room we was given !
The view of the castle was probably the best aspect of this hotel sorry but it's true
Middle of winter minus 4 with the wind chill no central heating working in the room no toiletries tv didn't work properly ect ect ect to much to mention £127 a night a disgrace
We checked in and went straight to our room, no delays, and was quick and easy
we were only there for an overnight stay but i cannot fault this Hotel and would definitely go back
Room is so big.
Room is cold as well as hot water...
Very friendly staff at reception and at breakfast, they even helped me with my itinerary and suggested galleries to visit! Great location Excellent breakfast
Lovely and central views magnificent rooms and service excellent will be back .
Superb location and nice to stay in an authentic club rather than a hotel. Excellent breakfast and very good value for money.
Could do with a bit of a spruce up but nothing serious
A bit dated
Fantastic location, gorgeous hotel, massive room, value for money and lena the receptionist was so friendly and helpful a lovely woman. Breakfast was out of this world and the views were stunning.
This was a lovely hotel in an ideal location, staff very friendly and an excellent breakfast.Would stay again.
The location of the hotel was excellent, with good views of the castle from the dining room, breakfast was very good, the room was comfortable and clean. The staff we met were friendly and pleasant.
The room was small with a silly porthole window.
Staff very friendly location brilliant especially as we were Christmas shopping and enjoying the Christmas markets
Location, friendly staff
Bit cold in room but it was very cold outside
excellent position on Princes street right opposite the castle. Our room had a lovely view right over to castle. Lovely clean linen and towels. Plenty of seating space with 3 chairs in the room. Comfy bed.
Shower was very poor with very little pressure and water leaked all over floor whilst using the shower.
