Restaurant shut much too early
Gym facilities and view over the golf course Liked the option of using the gym/swim facilities Reception staff were very helpful with directions and very friendly
Hard to find-need better signs which involve 'hotel' Chair in room very dusty and covered in hair Bed wasn't very comfortable Light outside the room at night made the room quite bright, even when curtains were shut Bathroom design felt like an old peoples home Could smell smoke in the room from people outside smoking
Good value for money as included the spa, I even joined in a Aqua Aerobics class for no additional cost. Comfy bed Plenty of hot water Hair drier
At breakfast every morning there was food on the floor from the night before, chips etc. The tables were also dirty, left over food and salt, they had set them for breakfast but hadn't cleaned them :( horrid. On 1 morning no plates available for breakfast, no coffee, no white bread, no continental breakfast, no milk. Under cooked greasy bacon. Eggs were brought out and were cold before the rest of breakfast was re-stocked. Rooms were cramped and small, only laid out for 1 person, with 1 towel etc, no phone to call reception, it was raining hard and had to walk up the road and across the car park to the reception building - soaked by the time I got there so definitely needed that towel!
Hotel was attractive very clean and staff very very polite helpful and friendly
Quite remote had trouble finding it
Terrific value. We wanted a basic room for the night and got so much more. The evening meal was excellent, tasty and well cooked, ditto the breakfast. The treat was the full and free use of the pool, jaccuzzi, sauna and steam room, which we visited twice during our short stay.
The map I printed out from your site was woefully inadequate. We left Billing Road in the 5pm rush hour and pitch dark, and if it hadn't been for the local solicitor living near by and leading us to the complex, it would have taken us a long time to find you.
Pool Area and Gym Splendid Views
Uncomfortable Bed Fly infested room Poor layout Priority given to golfers at all times Not a hotel more a golfclub with rooms Mouldy leaky shower Poor quality of fittings
Friendly people. Location
Small tv with poor signal. Breakfast was in golfers bar area. Could do with thicker curtains to keep out noise/light.
Views of gold course balcony large room
Not really a hotel as such bar restaurant and pool was separate from room room were in separate block parking was difficult as there was lots of golfers there at weekend
Layout of the resort Pool, sauna, steam room Restaurant Breakfast Setting
Shower No shelving in bathroom
Enjoyed my stay very friendly staff
Sports club Food friendly atmosphere
Bedroom was tired - needs decoratng Shower needs enlarging 80x80 should be 90x90 Heatng in bedroom and bathroom only just adequate
On reading some reviews we were unsure what to expect. We had upgraded our room and we were glad we did so. The room was adequately sized with tea and coffee facilties and a pair of french doors opened up onto the golf course and its excellent views. Breakfast was decent and overall our stay was very pleasent.
Couldn't fault anything.
Nothing to fault.
Cleanliness Location (near my destination), surroundings of actual hotel, view from bar/restaurant was very nice, overlooking golf course Leisure facilities (included in price) were very good Very good breakfast included
No phone in bedroom Quite early closure of bar Small TV in room Everything else was fine
The gym and the pool!
The light outside the bedroom to make it a bit bright to go to sleep. The foods in the restaurant are OKish
Rooms were tiny and like student units Close to woods and damp/cold Room infested with small beetles Shower cubicle was pre-formed and tiny Mattress was so cheap and uncomfortable Building was timber built and everything creaked This is a golf resort/retirement village Restaurant food was a carvery only
Only stayed overnight so didn't get chance to make most of it. Had dinner which was lovely. Breakfast was great. Bed was comfy. Room clean. Free wifi, tea facilities.
The room was not clean. Although we had telephoned to say we were delayed and would be late, we had to phone and get someone out of bed to get the key to our room.
staff, facilities , setting price lovely breakfast.
mattress very worn no springs !! no wifi cover in room 14 slight bad odour in room very low pressure in shower
Loved the staff, the pool, the views.
It was a little hard to find and my daughter's room was far from ours.
The bed was great
The staff were very courteous and friendly and helpful, great location and the food was good. Would recommend.
We could hear every step of the people staying in the room above as the floor creaked it seemed there was no sound proofing between the floors and very small room. I would advise visitors to book into a suite if possible, but saying this we would stay here again
The road out once my stay was complete
To find that the actual "hotel" is a 100 yard walk across the car park wasn't appreciated once I had unloaded the car. The restaurant menu was woefully inaccurate as the soup of the day was marked suitable for vegetarians but was in fact pea and ham. The second suitable for vegetarian option I chose arrived with bacon strewn across it. The mattress is quite possibly the worst I have encountered in my travelling. On arrival back from work it was a shock to discover that the room had not been serviced. Also note that regardless of the time of day, if you wish privacy then you will need to close the curtains on the French doors that is the entry for the room. Seriously this "resort" caters for the owners of the onsite lodges, the fitness club and the golf course I personally think the "hotel", actually that is missing an s and should read hostel, the hotel side seems to be an afterthought and almost as though they want to get bad reviews so they can close it and build more lodges. If anyone from Booking.com reads these, please seriously consider removing this venue from your listing.
Location ok and I'm sure it would be great if you are a golfer.
Staff in restaurant forgot we were there and service was very poor. Bed hard, room too small, stains on the walls of bathroom, hairs in shower, room smelled bad, pillows smelled of smoke, bathroom smelled of urine. Light outside bedroom window kept me awake. Would never stay here again or recommend it.
Use of leisure facilities. Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate & biscuits. Friendly reception staff. Rooms small but more than adequate for overnight stay. Excellent wi-fi connection.
Lack of breakfast fruit (run out) with over an hour of service still to go. Large complex with mixed rooms - in motel style - and timeshare type lodges, staying in room felt like second class.
