Overton Grange hosts weddings, civil ceremonies (civil licence held), business meetings, conferences, private functions and corporate events. The function room can accommodate a maximum of 200 guests.
Overton Grange offers 14 twin/ double en suite bedrooms, each one having recently been refurbished under the supervision of a respected local interior design practice. The rooms vary in size and aspect but all contain excellent facilities including new beds complete with crisp white duvets. Some are sumptuously traditional and others classically contemporary. All bath/ shower rooms have been refitted and have sparkling modern facilities.
Ludlow nestles amongst unbelievable scenery, described by the famous architectural historian, Pevsner, as 'one of the most memorable streets in England.’ The River Teme snakes below the castle parapets winding through weirs towards the Severn. One will find all the activities one would expect: walking, cycling, fishing, horse riding, adventure activities, hang gliding, and for the less adventurous, eating, drinking and boutique shopping. Ludlow Castle (2 miles / 3.2 km): Perched above the River Teme this is a regular setting for events, markets, craft and food fairs, Shakespearean plays and concerts; the expansive ruins of this impressive medieval castle offer a glimpse into the life of medieval society.
Ludlow Racecourse (6.5 miles / 10.5 km): It is said that 14th century soldiers raced their horses at this modern day National Hunt course. Surrounded by countryside, Edwardian character is mixed with recently completed luxurious hospitality boxes.
From Ludlow town centre:
- Take the A49 Hereford Road over Ludford Bridge and the hotel can be found on the right.
- Be sure to not turn off before the village of Overton.
From the South:
- On the A49, (towards Hereford/Shrewsbury) turn left onto the B4361, just north of Woofferton.
- The road is sign posted for Ludlow and Richards Castle.
- The hotel is a short distance on the left.
