The helpful Staff
The excessive price and the noise from the street
Hospitality was excellent, room was good and the breakfast was very enjoyable. Only downside for me was the buses in the local area, not being a driver I found it hard to get to places but that's no fault of where I stayed.
Room was a bit chilly at Times as heating seemed to be on one minute and off the next.
The room was quite nice and clean, the location is good.
It hasn't a park, you have to park in a parking that is quite close. You can here the noisy of the cars outside, and the courtains leave enter the light.
Many traditional features retained but refurbished where necessary. I needed a single room with bathroom which is hard to find at normal B&B's and this was ideal. Staff very welcoming and helpful and food excellent. I would recommend this to anyone.
There could have been traffic noise at the front but my back-facing room was silent with a view of the churchyard and hill beyond. There seemed to be little traffic at night.
Everything about the hotel was excellent. The food in the bar/restaurant was spot on. It was the best nights sleep I've had in ages!! I'll certainly stay here again.
The bed was comfortable
One or two of the staff could have been more polite
Food was exceptional
attentiveness of staff, very noisy from traffic and people leaving other pubs double bed rather small
Convenient location, spacious room
Dirty old family room with furniture from 1930, noise from the main road, as very old windows
staff excellent, very clean, excellent value for money, excellent breakfast, good comfy bed.
church bells past 11pm, hourly and half hourly throughout night - perhaps owner could show this and similar reviews to parish council. Arguing local residents from 1 -2 pm at night - police turned up!!
The location of my single room up 2 flights of stairs and around some corridors
I was made feel very welcome in a very old fashioned and rather run down hotel.
Location OK 're advanced booking. Grade 2 listed building central to the small square of Corwen. WiFi useable although had to keep changing between two separate addresses (of 3 given)
Quite run down, chipped bath, noisy plumbing, no anti slip bath mat, old, inefficient sash windows. I think we were the only guests. The main problem though was the pricing - at least £20 too much at £86 !
The location in the centre of the small, historic Welsh town is perfect. The young staff were welcoming and were ready to serve us coffee as we had to wait for our breakfast as the dining room was full (we were late ). The hotel itself has some nice historic charm.
Staff members were very friendly
Stayed for one night before heading over to Bala early the next day. Early check out was not a problem. Room was big and comfortable with private bathroom, tv and tea/coffee facilities. Had my road bicycle with me and there was no issues with storing it in the room. Free wifi. Free car parking opposite the hotel. Owner was very helpful when asked questions. My partner left her coat in the wardrobe after checking out and the owner posted it to us the following week.
Room was clean. Fresh linen. Plenty of hot water. TV in room.
Breakfast was a bit limited. Unusual selection of bottled fruit juices. Odd display of fruit.
Comfortable room, excellent breakfasts.
Traffic noise during the night Bathroom extractor not working and covered in dust from long term lack of use.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast very good.
The shower did not work. There were some rather intimidating characters hanging about the entrance and even invading the bar at times.
my family and I were attending a local eisteddfod and stayed at the hotel for most of the week. the staff were very friendly and attempted to grant every request that we made successfully. would definately stay here again. cleanliness of rooms was exceptional and white towels were white as not often found in 4 star hotels that i have stayed in. food was very good and freshly made at all times. well done owin glyndwr.
only downer was no lift.
There was parking available, and breakfast was lovely fresh good produce.
Rooms weren't very clean and didn't smell very nice soon as you walked in the building, beds were uncomfortable.
The bedding was clean, it had tea making facilities.
The carpet in the room was badly stained all over, the church bell behind the hotel that chimed every hour and half an hour. The radiator banged all night even though it was turned off.
Incredibly friendly staff and service. Would thoroughly recommend and would indeed visit again if in the area.
Admittedly it is a lovely old building but furniture is broken and past its best, carpet wearing thin and decor needs touching up!
