Staff were welcoming, particularly helpful in the leisure centre. Pool area was relaxing and quiet. Hotel room in the Stable complex was clean and the bathroom in particularly was very clean and stocked with shampoo and lots of fluffy towels. Pillows were awful and I had difficulty getting comfortable. Walls were paper thin, I heard the shower going in the room next to me and in the morning as we were next to the ironing room I could actually hear the steam from the iron. However I was not disturbed during the night ie. could not hear television or anything from any other room.

The staff are extremely helpful and warm. The facilities are good and the rooms spacious and comfortable. The only slight gripe is that the wifi is patchy and kept dropping out. This may be due to my room location which was at the extremity of the hotel.

The bed in our bedroom had a deep making it very uncomfortable to sleep the first night. The electric jug in our room was too little, had to boil water again and again for tea. Tha waiting staff were looking at us while having breakfast without any smiles or coments. I felt as if I was doing something wrong.

Nice location on a golf course. Food in restaurant wasn't that great. The rooms in the coach house are quite old.

The gym and spa were fantastic and i will definitely visit again if up this way. My room in the coach house was very spacious. The power shower was difficult to use as it was hard to aim down and when on full power soaked the bathroom due this.

I enjoyed the comfort of the facilities, the reception and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast? I had scrambled eggs and when they arrived they were like rubber, obviously cooked to long in the microwave, very dissapointing. Also not a real choice for continental style breakfast or options of milk i.e. skimmed and no selection of pastries on Sunday Morning, Fresh fruit selection was poor. Signs to the hotel from main road lacking, not easy to find for out of towners.

that we couldn t order drinks at the table in the conservatory for evening meal. We had to go to the bar each time and no one collected glasses from table when empty , therefore lots of empty glasses cluttering table.

Room was huge and fully equipped and quiet at night. Bar had a couple of well kept real ales (Hobgoblin and Landlord) We also had a room to ourselves for our Club Xmas meal function Breakfast was plentiful and good quality Staff friendly Good value at £61 for the huge room and breakfast for 2 Bar price the usual 'dearer than pub' hotel price....£5.25 for a pint and a half ....not as expensive as alot of hotels though but more than most pubs. A bit isolated...no nearby town to walk into.

Loved the location!! Meals were excellent. The room we were in (can't remember room number but in the coachhouse) was VERY VERY small. No bath. Shower stall was small too. Friends staying in other rooms were much nicer. Would not stay again if we had to have the same room!

the spa and pool area was lovely , the enterance and the grounds were also lovely , we stayed in one of the executive suites on the ground floor room number 52 . we found the room to have very poor lighting ,only one easy chair ,the bedding was grey in col ,and the quilt hung out about 12 inches as the cover was to small .. when the bed was made the next day, it was just pulled over any old way , all we could here was running water all night and load bangs from the kitchen .the cleaning staff woke us up at 6 -30 am as they were chatting and banging doors /after not long getting back to sleep as there was a man singing at the top of his voice at 4 am in the hall way , we rang the front desk there was no reply .it took a good 15 min before any body spoke to this man , we use hotels all the time and this is the first time ever we have had to complain , my husband stayed in this hotel a few years ago with my son as they had a working contract in doncaster and there accomodation was ok so that is why we came back and thought we would upgrade , but this room should not be classed as a executive suite ,next to a kitchen ,also the windows were unlocked and any one could of got in through the window .. i would not stay in this hotel again or be recomending it to others .. regards mrs stephanie ord .......
