Ideally located for London’s West End, this Townhouse hotel is close to Earl's Court and a 2-minute walk from the Tube. Individually decorated rooms feature high ceilings and marble bathrooms.
Score from 1670 reviews Good
The location is truly excellent, very well connected, close to tube and buses, supermarkets and restaurants. Breakfast was quite nice and abundant.
The third bed was just a bunk bed, the furniture was old and not enought, the windows were letting in cold air from outside
right beside tube station and local shops. no frills, no nonsense. some staff very helpful.
smallest hotel room i've ever stayed in with an even tinier bathroom and shower. some staff appallingly unhelpful. i had requested a disability access bathroom on booking. could not be contacted for verifiication, phonecalls constantly went through to "marcos" mailbox without saying whether or not it was the oxford hotel. on arrival there was no disability access bathroom. the ryanair of hotels.
The room was no more than 10-11 m2 (incl. the bathroom)
1. My bed was two tiny single beds bolted together. It was horribly uncomfortable, dug into my back and sides and I couldn't sleep properly. 2. The extra blankets provided were smelly, they obviously hadn't been washed in a while. The pillow cases were clean but the pillows themselves smelled quite stale (smelled like sweaty scalp). Disgusting. 3. The fridge in my room was broken. 4. The door didn't lock from the inside so cleaning barged in one morning even though I shouted not to enter. 5. The "shower" was a curtain around a metal pole and was so small that the towel rail and toilet were up against the curtain. Very uncomfortable. 6. My friend's room has mould growing on the walls above the bed.
location was good
poor hygiene beds were terrible with dirty blankets and pillows on them Breakfast was really poor there was toast and cheese and milk with cereals that's it
Location Interior design Staff
Size of rooms Uninspiring breakfast Toaster incapable of heating bread
Room too small. Bed and towel poor
Location (nice neighbourhood, close to the tube, restaurants, supermarkets and shops).
- Poor breakfast; - No daily room cleaning; - Room too small; - No free wi-fi; - Hairdryer didn't work; - No remote control for the tv;
Room had all we needed for a short stay, great value for money. Breakfast was more than sufficient. I would definitely use this hotel again. I would suggest People who want Dorchester facilities should stay at the Dorchester!!
Shower did not drain very well - but this was a minor niggle, people in room next door very noisy but again not really Hotels fault. Staff weren't sure of one piece of info. we needed, however they were very helpful and tried to answer our question.
Ideal location for Earls Court
The breakfast room was horrendous. Too many bodies squeezed into a small space. We didn't bother and walked up to the Blackbird pub and had a lovely brekkie.
Used condom Chewing gum on headboard Food slashed up the walls Filthy shower and accessories NOT a double room (3/4 bed actually) Would not fit a double bed in the room No heating Window stuck open Cotton bed sheets - had to ask for blankets at 2am.
Location - close to Earls Court
Rooms very small, bathroom even smaller. Room too warm 28C. Receptionist not very friendly or helpful.
Personel was friendly, however one woman at the kitchen was really unpolite and rude to us, because we want to have the breakfast somewhat earlier. We even had mentioned this at the reception Even if we were 5 minutes before opening time , she began shouting. This was the first time that we experienced such an unpoliteness. We advise her looking for an other job. This can not be tolerated in hotel businness
Booked at the last minute to save a bit money and didn't mind where I stayed as long as it had good links to central London which this hotel does. Only a stones throw away from Earls Court tube station, would stay again for the odd night when need to stay over. Not luxury but comfortable and good for the price.
Really good location and the price wasnt bad at all, considering we booked months in advance we thought we got an early bird discount of some sort.
The room was tiny, just managed to fit a bed and a wardrobe in. There was no windows, well, what we could actually see out of, we had a skylight, that was filthy. We had to change our room as we got sent away the first time as check in wasn't ready and the second time we arrived we were given our key but the room was still filthy, infact, the cleaner was still in there cleaning. Like i mentioned in the good bit, the room was cheap, but we thought that was an early bird discount, considering it was a big discount offered....certainly not, the following day the room was £10 cheaper than what I paid, considering it was a glamourous cupboard. Oh, and you have to remove all toilet rolls from bathroom if you want a shower, because the shower is in/on the toilet, I gather thats a good thing though right? Being able to shower and do a number two?
Good price for one night. Basic room with all the essentials.
Breakfast was chaos. Wall to wall people. Dining rooms were tiny with not enough tables. Tea and coffee were not labelled. Toaster was not working. Staff were dismissive. We just had cornflakes, but returned to room for drinks. I would return but not bother with breakfast.
I liked the location of the hotel and the floor being heated so my feet were not cold walking around
The bed was really hard
Room in basement far too hot!
Clean room, warm and comfortable. Friendly Staff. Value and Location to Underground.
Breakfast was poor and the room too small for number of guests, also if you are located in the annex as we were you have to walk outside down the street to the main Hotel particularly cold in December !
Location and cleanliness of the room/toilet.
Located in 2 minutes to Earls Court tube station. Lots of restaurants and cafe near the hotel. Everyday room service. Safety deposit box, tea and kettle in the room.
Very small room and bathroom. Old furniture, but the bed is very comfortable.
1.a short 2 minutes walk to earl's court station 2.A lot of convenience store and restaurants nearby.
My room had no air-conditioning but who needs it anyway when it's Winter!!
Room had everything I needed- tv, fan, comfy bed, coffee and tea making facilities, hanging space, fridge, safe, nicely decorated, clean- and all at a good price. Small but functional wet room. Nice shower. Two mins from tube.
Breakfast didn't start til 0730
generally everything was reasonable
it would have helped if the toaster in the dinning room had worked! one would have thought that the Hotel could afford a new one
