great location & a very good price. Comfy bed & powerful fan in the bedroom.
Dirty bedroom walls, chaotic at breakfast, poor choice of food at breakfast & cramped conditions in breakfast rooms.
Staff is not friendly. Room is not clean. Bathroom is very poor. It is very bad for staying.
Other than location nothing good to say about this hotel. Staff is rude, room is dirty, bathroom is smaller than the bathrooms of cruise ships.
Adequate room facilities, beds comfortable, and bath room clean and location is good.
Next to zero hot water from the basin tap which was leaking. There were no hand towels. The motorised toaster in the right hand dinning room is faulty.one element is not working and all we got was warm bread on one side. WIFI facility should be made available to all residents as part of the hotel sefvice at zero cost.
breakfast, friendly stuff
very small room, dusty under the bed
The room was basic but it had what we needed
The breakfast was madness not a big selection ..toast or 2 cereals dinning room could do with being bigger
The room was decent, I was given a double room even though I had booked a single. Bathroom facilities were good. Good location for travelling to work.
My room was in the basement area. Improvement work was in progress from the adjoining building which I was unaware of when my booking was made. The noise from the works woke me up early. Whenever a toilet was flushed or a tap was used from nearby rooms, the noise was very loud.
Very conveniently situated. Rooms comfortable. Staff pleasant.
Dining room very cramped. Continental breakfast disappointing. No yoghurt no cold meats only cereal. Juice toast cheese and boiled eggs.
No gluten free option for breakfast
Loved the location, the staff were friendly and helpful, beds were very comfortable. Good value for money and we would recommend if you just want basic accommodation, very close to Central London.
The rooms are very small and even though breakfast is very cheap, I wouldn't bother with it. We had it on the first day, the room was packed, the food was basic so we didn't go again.
Situation. Reception staff excellent.
Breakfast. Arrangement. Too much walking at self service Too cramped at service bar. Bedroom cramped. Shaver socket not working. Toilet seat broken mounting.
The location to the Tube Station and to different stores, restaurants and pup's are short.
The room space are definitly too small!!! These from the washbasin and the shower also!!! I was alone in a double room and I came at my limites! (room and shower are too small) and I'm a man :-) I don't know how a women or two people schould feel themeselve well in such kind of rooms. And last but not least the conditions of these rooms (I was in three) were poor. I can't look the window, water drop from the ceiling, it isn't possible to full open the door to the bathroom (engineering bug)
Location. It is very covenient. Almost in the center of the city near the metro. The greatest advantage is a relatively low price for the room as for London standards (about Eu. 85 per night). However, for this price, you can get much more almost everywhere in the world!
Absolutely awful breakfast. I had serious problems with my stomach (digestion) both days (out of 3) which I tried to eat there (most likely, this was cheese). Relatively small breakfast room is overcrowded almost all the time allocated for breakfast. Our room was very small and of a very strange shape. Almost no place where you can put your luggage. The only "available" cabinet was already filled with extra blankets and pillows. the shower cabin was very small and what was especially surprising for me, as a big man, was a huge water tap directed just at my breast and covering a lot of space so necessary there.
location - both transport and environment room arrangement price towels changed every day opportunity to make a tea and coffee in the room
breakfast you have to buy electricity adapter, but it's in reception wi-fi price there was no tv console in the room
Central location, good underground links All in all given the price a decent no frills hotel
Breakfast, at busy times no seating lack of room cramped and able to hear most of what our neighbours were doing - drunken giggling in the middle of the night not good
It was only 2 minutes from the underground station.
It was very dirty and the bed was horrible.
The hotel was cheap, clean and there was not much noise from the city as it is situated on a side street away. Within walking distance of earl's court tube station and several shops and lots of great restaurants.
The breakfast was the lowest point, but we did not expect much for the price we paid!
Location according to our needs for going to Twickenham and central London every day Good value for money
Too little space for eating breakfast in the basement. Not a lot of things to choose between at the breakfast. Missing quilts, only bed sheet and blanket, but London is not one tropical island
The only thing I liked was the location.
After our arrival we were asked without any hint of apology to wait because the room wasn't ready yet even though it was during the checking time hours and our estimated time of arrival. We had to pay in advance a then had to walk down the street to a different building which we couldn't open immediately because the person at the reception didn't bother to tell us properly how it worked, etc. Then we found the tiny room with no space to turn around and no space whatsoever to put our staff was a twin room even though the room was supposed to be double and was booked long time in advance. Making it short: later on we found out that the spare pillows were absolutely filthy and without a cover, the water tap in the bathroom was loose and my wife was bitten by some insects (bed bugs?) which we noticed later, two of them on a bed. The manager of the hotel wasn't available and complaining to the receptionist didn't make any difference. On the top of that, the tiny breakfast room was absolutely overcrowded, there was no place to leave our luggage which would be anyway charged £5 extra, etc...
Stayed for 1 night, so glad it wasn't more. The only.positive was location, just off the high street where the tube is so was easy to find and loads of restaurants and cafes near by. Also being in a room on 3rd floor it was quiet
Stayed for 1 night, so glad it wasn't more. Walls were mouldy from ceiling to floor. The fridge was unplugged, so we plugged it in to cool our drinks and there was an overwhelming smoke smell in the room, turned it off immediately. At check in we were 30min early. Receptionist processed my full payment, handed me receipt then told me check in was 2pm! We left to wander the high street till 2pm. At check out 2 receptionists commpletely ignored us and we waited 10min to hand the room key card in! The room was not clean, blankets were covered in hairs! The wet room was badly designed, water flowed towards loo not to drain.
For the money we spend on Oxford Hotel I think we got decent value. Amazing location with great public transportation and restaurants all over the neighborhood. Simple but friendly the stuff. I would definitely come back.
Continental breakfast was very poor, I wouldn't even call it a breakfast. That's the reason why it's for free. No public parking available, it's residential only. Expensive Internet
Weren't happy about the room it looked very untidy and very small not spacious. Breakfast was a disaster as you sit with other guests which was akward.. The receptionist had some attitude and we only asked questions on the location. The best thing of the hotel was that it was in a quiet area and close to the tube
The location was fair as it is close to Earls Court underground. The breakfast was nice.
I paid the full bill upon arrival however the hotel have taken an extra £75 out of my account, this has taken 5 days to refund thus far, when I demanded a refund, the staff were rude, particularly the young lady I spoke to about my refund over the phone. I requested a double room and an 12pm check-in a month before I made the booking, I was given a twin room and advised I could not check in until 2pm even though I received confirmation! I was advised to push the beds together however in practice this proved uncomfortable and unpractical leaving myself and my fiance to sleep in separate beds. The room was too small for two people, the image shown online was totally different to what we were given. There was no remote control for the TV which was positioned too high to reach. the hot water was tempremental and would switch from hot to cold during showers. this hotel ruined my and my partners entire stay in London.
Quiet room, reasonable cost, great location, close to station, bus etc.
Room was small, en suite small but functional, no bath mat for shower.
