Oxford Spires Four Pillars Hotel  

Leider waren wir nur 1 Nacht im Oxford Spires. Die Lage mitten in der Natur und doch sehr nahe am Zentrum von Oxford. Wir sind zwar immer mit dem Bus gefahren, die Haltestelle befindet sich aber gleich vor dem Hotel.

Sehr sauberes und gepflegtes Business/ Stadthotel. Schöne Lage im Grünen. Sehr gutes Früstücksbuffet. Freundliches Personal. Sehr gut ist zu bewerten das man in der Bar Abends Kleinigkeiten essen kann. Unabhängig vom Restaurant. Hervorragend gelegen um zu Fuß Oxford zu besuchen.

Hat seinen Preis. Kein Früstück im Standardpreis enthalten. Sehr lange Wege zu den Zimmern. Wenn die Hauptbeleuchtung im Zimmer (Deckenbeleuchtung) aus ist gehen die Nachtischlampen nicht mehr. Sehr unpraktisch, eigentlich unmöglich der Zustand.

Excellent welcome - handsome young Hungarian carried our luggage right to our room (lady travelling with daughter). Heavy snowfall during our stay would have made it difficult to get out of carpark but a very smiley young man kept digging the snow to make it easier for us - never stopped smiling although he must have been freezing! Impressive! Loved the swimming pool - sometimes they don't live up to the photos, but this one is excellent!

I left advice for hotel just to let residents know they should take a pound down to the pool with them (for the locker), and that they don't need to take their room towels, as a big towel is provided there...

It was comfortable, clean and friendly

The photo of the Connoisseur room on the booking.com website showed a much bigger and better appointed room than that which we ended up with. The staff assured us that we were in the right grade of room which would suggest that the photo is misleading.

Exploring a beautiful city and being at a comfortable hotel witin easy walking distance of town centre.

Quite big and inpersonal.

It's location close to Oxford city centre, with free parking.

There was mildew in the bathroom and the bedroom itself looked tired - needed painting afresh.

The central bu quiet location is very good. The availability of car parking is excellent. The park and ride is close, meaning expensive city centre parking can be avoided.

Silence, location is perfect, staf meets my requests (late check out, print boarding pass, etc) very friendly and better than it's expected. Room, furniture, style are nice.

Wifi Internet is free of charge but it is provided by external supplier Swisscom with login/password, that is not suitable for many reasons. Gym is quite small and always overoccupied. Sauna is very small and poor. Two beds together are not used like the same one king size

Very nice and clean hotel. 15min walk from City center

Location: Within walking distance of the City centre but far enough out to guarantee a good nights sleep. The walk itself is along the Thames and thoroughly enjoyable. Good facilities, well kept and clean. Finally, free parking with plenty of space.

It was quiet.

Cold at night duvet was a summer one and no throw :-(
