The receptionists were very helpful. The rooms where clean
Decent, well-staffed hotel offering good value for money and high level of comfort.
Location: not really in central Oxford. About 15 to 20 minutes walk from the centre of town and so wouldn't recommend this hotel if you're not travelling by car.
Fabulous riverside location, close to town. Lovely staff.
Room 11, whilst having a view of the garden, is next door to the laundry room. The tumble dryers were still going when we returned at midnight and we had to ask for them to be switched off.
Looking out at horses, ducks and wild deer from my bedroom window
Nothing, it was all very pleasant
Great location for the city a good 20 min walk. room really nice size, bed comfy, tea and coffee really nice extra, good hairdryer.Staff really helpful. Nice presentation of hotel looks inviting, good parking. Reception attractive. We had an issue which was delt with really well by the reception and duty Manager.
Shower not very powerful, and noisey extrator fan. Not very welcoming lounge area. Bit 'old peoples home' look to it. ! meal in restaurant staff really lovely food very mediocore, steak had no taste to it a bit of an odd exoperience all round at the restaurant which put us off having breakfast there.
Decent value for money and free parking were a big win. If you are driving the hotel is quite well located for getting on to the motorways for Bicester Village or Bleinheim Palace.
Breakfast was not included in what I consider a high price point. The worst part of this was the sleep quality, the hotel does not have Air Conditioning which was expected but each time I opened the windows, I had wasps flying in and buzzing - the staff were very kind as I was helped at 3am to get the wasps out. For 2 nights I could barely sleep in the heat. The rooms are basic (not a lot of character) and the walls in the hall way need a coat of paint.
The location was nice, just a walk along the tow path to the town. We ate in the resturant one night and the food was very good.
Very friendly staff. Close to town centre. Enjoyed using swimming pool and spa. We were able to leave our car at the hotel whilst we spent the day in Oxford on our last day.
Hotel in an excellent location for visiting Oxford. Staff very helpful. Room was spacious and very comfortable.
everything.all first class
Location is good
Noisey room, poor quality beds. Very over priced.
Rooms were roomy..
Could hear neighbours clearly through walls. Very corporate hotel.
Location of hotel was ideal
Staff didn't smile and we didn't feel very welcome
I liked the look of the hotel, helpful and great staff and free use of the pool and hot tub
Bar wasn't cozy enough for me, prices very high and breakfast expensive and not fresh/good quality food
Staff, room, bar, leisure centre, location, hotel grounds, breakfast
Restaraunt menu wasn't to my liking, couldn't hear the TV very well in the sports bar
Al staff were efficient, helpful and welcoming making you feel at ease
Being woken by the fire alarm
staff pleasant and helpful Extra pillows in room Good food in restaurant evening and breakfast Location within quarter hour walk of centre Parking
Friendly staff, great location
A bit pricey
The location was fantastic. So easy to walk straight into the city centre or take a stroll along the river.
Great room. Helpful friendly staff. Very close to centre of Oxford. Very wide range of choice for breakfast Quiet location yet close to a main road. Excellent leisure facilities.
Nothing to dislike
Good size room
Bed could have been bigger
Location re Oxford city centre...lovely riverside walk in , also the outside bar, eating area.
The receptionist sent us to the wrong floor for our room upon arrival. She forgot to authorise my swiped card for use at the bar area and restaurant etc,nor did we receive the newspaper ordered on our first morning as she seemed to have also forgotten to make that arrangement successfully. Restaurant staff in the morning were rather lax and quite difficult to communicate with. Our room was fine apart from the fact that my partner is over 6 ft and we had a very low ceiling, even at 5 ft 2" I banged my head lots of times.
Evening meal was reasonably high quality but it was marred by the soapy and patronising service delivered to 3 women all elderly professionals Comfortable room with settee and upright chair and plenty of space Being close to the city centre there is no need to eat in the hotel at all Plenty of parking
Check in delayed as our 7 month old booking could not be found. Luckily the print of the email was to hand and all was finally resolved but elderly parent was not offered a seat or a drink while it was sorted out. No fridge in room.
Gym and swimming pool
Overpriced Expensive food
