Location of hotel was ideal
Staff didn't smile and we didn't feel very welcome
I liked the look of the hotel, helpful and great staff and free use of the pool and hot tub
Bar wasn't cozy enough for me, prices very high and breakfast expensive and not fresh/good quality food
Staff, room, bar, leisure centre, location, hotel grounds, breakfast
Restaraunt menu wasn't to my liking, couldn't hear the TV very well in the sports bar
Al staff were efficient, helpful and welcoming making you feel at ease
Being woken by the fire alarm
staff pleasant and helpful Extra pillows in room Good food in restaurant evening and breakfast Location within quarter hour walk of centre Parking
Friendly staff, great location
A bit pricey
The location was fantastic. So easy to walk straight into the city centre or take a stroll along the river.
Great room. Helpful friendly staff. Very close to centre of Oxford. Very wide range of choice for breakfast Quiet location yet close to a main road. Excellent leisure facilities.
Nothing to dislike
Good size room
Bed could have been bigger
Evening meal was reasonably high quality but it was marred by the soapy and patronising service delivered to 3 women all elderly professionals Comfortable room with settee and upright chair and plenty of space Being close to the city centre there is no need to eat in the hotel at all Plenty of parking
Check in delayed as our 7 month old booking could not be found. Luckily the print of the email was to hand and all was finally resolved but elderly parent was not offered a seat or a drink while it was sorted out. No fridge in room.
Gym and swimming pool
Overpriced Expensive food
Restaurant and menu
Bed is too soft
Great location for Oxford- 15minutes to centre walking. Lovely hotel, good breakfast and comfortable room.
Card key didn't work in room door. We had to return to reception at least four times to sort it-when we were given new cards they still didn't work. It was a bit of a problem because our room was far away from reception.
Convenient, Beautifully positioned, Well kept gardens and facilities
Constantly having to log into the Wifi !
Room was so far away. They did not have time to bring luggage to our room, our son collected it in the end. The queues at the bar for a drink were far too long, not enough staff on duty.
Location. Parking facilities. Cleanliness of bathroom and facilities was very good
Bed hard. The four poster support was very noisy i.e. squeaky every time a person moved in the bed. This resulted in a poor nights sleep
Food was very good. Plenty of room to park.
The shower fitting was very difficult to use
The room was large, clean and comfortable. We had a great breakfast lots of choice.
Very nice, lovely walk along the river into Oxford. Great breakfast.
Our room was ground floor and next to an external door which made it a bit noisy when the door closed.
Convenient to Oxford city center. Lovely setting....felt as if you were in the countryside.
the closeness of the city and the river walkway. The food was nice, staff were friendly, good parking.
the noise from other rooms such as doors slamming and people moving things in the room above. The menus stayed the same. The room could of done with being dusted.
Good beeakfast nice surroundings pleasant staff
Poor lighting in rooms
Comfort, location, food, gardens, plenty of parking
Bins being emptied early in morning!
Good food Quiet and comfortable Easy walk into the main part of Oxford
Had problems using the "business computer" in the lobby. Had to make 2 international calls from our room. We were billed 50p per minute even though we were using a calling card. The "free wi-fi" isn't really free. These were small matters but it did make the first part of our stay more annoying than it needed to be.
