Basic clean accommodation. No frills. Good location. Ideal for a one night stop in London that doesnt cost a fortune.
Quite noisy at night.
The staff were very helpful and accommodating I would stay again really good price for two nights. Breakfast was adequate but no alternate was given.
Stairs were difficult, not good for anyone with walking difficulties
shower didn't work properly, noise from guests above and walking up and down stairs.
Location was great for Paddington station and Hyde Park
The room, and in particularly the blanket, was extremely dusty, and despite check-out being listed at 11am there were 2 attempts to 'clean' the room before we'd left it. Breakfast wasn't inedible, but pretty weird. Don't expect any frills, or much cheeriness.
-Location is AMAZING! -Close by to busses, rail, etc. -Very close to restaurants, etc. -Close to Hyde Park & other London attractions -Walking distance to Marble Arch/Oxford Street -Front desk staff were extremely helpful -Bright rooms -Overall it's a great place to stay!
- Hotel was undergoing painting & fixing up. So the smell of paint was in the air. - Both sides of the hotel do not have lifts, so if you have lots of luggage be aware & ask for the side with the lift or the ground floor. -The cleaning ladies spoke English, but I am not sure if they understand it properly. -The breakfast was ok, but that's not a "full" English breakfast. -Fixtures could use a bit of updating.
Nothing! Its close to Oxford street thats about it!
I mailed them and explained that we were coming around 02.00 and asked them if it was okey to check in and they told us yes its fine! BUT when we arrived that was an complete different story we were forced to pay for a room for only 4 hours with only two beds we were 3 persons! Why tell us OK when its clearly is not okey and then force Us to pay for a room that we only had for 4 hours! That made us feel like we were deceived and it ruined the whole next day. I never been to a place were the staff have an unprofessional conduct and I will never ever ever recommed this to anybody!
Friendly staff, rooms ok
Walls seem to be paper thin, you'd better be a good sleeper
The Location is near enough perfect 5 minute walk from Paddington Station also walking distance to Hyde Park The room was a decent size The Bathroom in our room was perfect The bed was average creaked a bit but not the worst bed I have slept in
When we arrived the hotels staircase was like a building site, there were ladders, dust sheets and bits of wallpaper and plaster on the stairs. When we got to our proposed room we could not unlock the door as the lock was broken but did eventually manage it. The room we were provided was not as booked it did not have a Bath or a double bed as advertised We were told no rooms had baths but then was offered a room with a bath after negotiations much to our confusion. The room we were given was in the basement of the hotel and did not include any WiFi signal or any phone signal at all. One of the floor panels under the carpet was missing causing a slight trip hazard. The walls of the hotel were paper thin you can hear everything that goes on in all rooms around and above, not helped by the loud staff and guests just before a reasonable bedtime. The stairs were very creaky. Not enough towels were provided on both days. The toilet was leaking water onto the floor and moved off its base slightly. On all 3 nights the smell of cigarette smoke filled our room, we were unsure if it was fellow guests or staff members but it was unacceptable and disgusting.
no towels in room
Close to Paddington tube station and to Hyde Park.
No double glazing, so lots of traffic noise. Poor breakfast, not freshly cooked. Radiators on during a heat wave. No lift.
The clerk let us keep our bags behind the counter after we checked out while we went to the embassy to get our passports which was very nice of him. Also the breakfast was good and fast
The bathroom in the room was very small.
Location great .. Let me store my luggage after check out ..
Breakfast was a very minimal full english. Lots of traffic noise
The Location very good
We had ground floor room. The window had access to emergency stairs which we couldn't lock it. We could hear every movement of the top floor. Can't shower properly (especially for woman). Every time one someone close the door, our room door and window will make a huge noise (like someone is trying to enter in our room)
The location is okay.
The sizes of the rooms and beds ate poor
The location of this hotel is great, within walking distance to the tube, restaurants, shops, bars etc. The room was a good size for 4 people, 2 adults and 2 children.
Upon arrival, we walked into a building site!!!! (I know work has to be carried out but we had received no warning of this) We were locked out on 2 occasions when we returned to hotel late at night, 11pm, and had to wait for sometime before we were let in. Shower was terrible in the bathroom, harldy any power out of it. Breakfast was basic, 1 bacon, 2 fried eggs and spoon of beans!! No offer of cereal to the children.
Very clean white sheets. Very helpful and friendly female staff. location of hotel. size of room.
Toilet bowl not secured. Bed that was very noisy and squeaky. Large burn holes in blankets. Bathroom room not closing properly and noisy. Net curtains very very old.
the location was good and staff were friendly and helpful
it should have quilts and not blankets, and the pillows were a bit bobbly.
Location is perfect! The bus stops are just few steps away from the hotel, and Paddington underground station is in 2 minutes walk. There are some nice pubs nearby. Kensington Gardens are in 7 minutes walk. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are polite and friendly. Good value for money.
Breakfasts are pretty boring, but it's better than no breakfast at all. There is no safe in the room.
The helpfulness of the desk staff
My room was cold. The radiator was virtually non-functional. The walls were thin and sound from adjoining room kept me awake
Location.TV.Free WIFI.Ham and eggs were good.Family room was big.
Every day the same breakfest, very little portions.Room was big but very old and one blanket was burned with cigarettes.
Location. It was near to Paddington Station and also the venue I was attending.
Was disappointed at the lack of tea/coffee facilities in the room. After a long journey (and first thing in morning) tea/coffee would have been welcome
good location - several underground stations, Paddington railway station and Hyde Park are in walking distance
The hotel is definitely not for those who seek for comfort. The room was tiny. The bathroom was so small that you barely can turn around. The furniture and the whole interior were very old and decrepit. The sockets did not work during first 2 days of our visit. The curtains were dirty and had traces of cigarette butts or something. Poor noise insulation.
the location, near Paddington railway station.
room very small for two people. room décor poor. shower cubicle you can just about turn around in, & the extractor fan was very noisy. .
