warmth of staff
No elevator to 4th floor
Handy to tube and Paddington
Little road noise at night Some rooms are a lot smaller than others Squeaky floorboards
Good room, nice helpfull staff
No wifi exept at reception erea. No stairs
Excellent location, clean, very close to Hyde park and Lancaster Gate tube station.
No wifi in the rooms, only near reception.
24 hour reception and helpful staff, we were able to leave our bags on the last day for a while. Spacious, modern looking room. Breakfast good.
Very clean and modern room
Great location. Very nice room and bath. Fridge, Iron and board, Kettle. Bathroom with a great water preasure and HOT water :) Reception changed me (on my request) to a single bed and I was given an option to check in earlier since the room was ready (the one I had booked was not). Keep in mind - this is a Victorian Style Building so there is no elevator. I was in room nr 18. Top floor and 5 flights of stairs.
Great location to tube stations, and also surprisingly quiet at night! Very clean rooms! Good facilities too. Absolutely the best value for a london hotel.
Continental breakfast could do with more choices.
Short walk from Paddington station Nice breakfast Friendly staff Better than reviews
Only a blanket on bed No wifi No mattress protector on bed Incredibly small shower room
Definitely a 3 star hotel ; clean ; fairly modern; good location
Be careful what you book had to pay an extra 20 pounds because we booked a double and twin room thinking the twin was 2 single beds;small room; no lift
All staff members were incredibly friendly, great location, room clean and comfortable, breakfast ample.
Only slight negative if I was to be picky....breakfast room was boiling hot! Not much of a negative at all!
Super friendly staff, good breakfast, clean rooms!
No wifi in the rooms, no lift
It was a good value for money. It was clean. Very near the tube. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
The toilet had to be flushed twice for it to fully flush. No wi-fi in the rooms, only at the reception.
Location Breakfast Wi-Fi Heating
No option for late check out after 1:00 PM. TV is not working properly.
The hotel is ideally located and within walking distance of at least two tube stations. It is also only about 10 minutes walk of the shopping areas and c 5 mins walk of Hyde Park.
I was disappointed with the breakfast as I had expected sausage, rasher and fried egg but this wasn't there. However, having said this, there was plenty of other food available.
The breakfast had a great variety. Croissants, toast, cereals, fruit, coffee, tea and hard boiled eggs. The room was great.
It takes only 5 min to walk from the hotel to Hyde park. Around 10 walk from paddington station. The heater is warm enough and the room is quiet. Some staff are nice.
One of the staff (female) was very rude. I saw her yelling at other customers on the phone when the customers were just 10 min late for the check out. The guy at night is good and helpful. The room is OK, but there were stains on the towels. There were no duvet...just a duvet cover with less than 5mm thick. I have to use my own jacket as the duvet during sleep.
Clean, modern, comfortable room. Close to Tube station in central location. Excellent value for a no-frills bed in central London.
No lift, a pain with baggage, though I was offered assistance with taking bags up to the room.
Location is great. Bfast was lovely with lots of choice.
Location is very good - about three minutes walk from Lancaster Gate. Most staff is very friendly and helpful.
First of all, the bed is by far the worst we have ever slept in. We have slept in hundreds of hotels over the years and are not particularly demanding as regards beds, but it was quite simply impossible to sleep in the one at Paddington. The mattress was not only worn out and hard as a rock, but also crumbled into a U-shape, leaving the two of us cramped in the middle. Moreover, the hotel is generally worn and in need of a facelift as it were. The bathroom was extremely small, but it worked - though there was a slight smell of sewage.
Clean, simple, it felt friendly, it was quiet, and decoration was not overdone like some hotels, but still classy.
The toilet didn't flush The room had no chair in it, just drawers, nightstands, a cupboard and a bed.
- close to the tube - room was quite big
- bathroom was dirty - room was dark and deprressing - smell in ten room was not good - price was too high for such quality
Location was excellent as the underground was at the end of the road. We were site seeing so it was central for everything. Room was comfortable and breakfast nice.
As you are on a busy road it was difficult to sleep due to the traffic.
Room clean, staff were nice enough
All the stairs was on top floor, & itchy unhygienic blankets on bed would have been much better with duvets. No bulbs in lamps either
