The room was clean and tidy and modern. No lifts. Steep stairs - not ideal if you have mobility problems. Also reception across the road.

I cant find anything I would recommend about this hotel. The room was actually across the road from reception. Upon entering the building one can immediately see its in need of a major refurbishment. Its tired, very tired. The carpets are manky and the walls are painted anaglypta. Upon entering the room, it was dark and small. I have a wardrobe almost as big as the bathroom! There was no bath, just a very tight stand up shower. The mattress was thin and old, though the sheets were clean. The tv was old-style and only had 8 channels but there was actually only the 4 traditional terrestrial channels view-able. The carpets in the room were threadbare. No internet in room.

The location, and comfort of the room. Mine was a good size. Not to have to worry about looking for breakfast was also a great feature. The number of stairs to get to our room!!! The carpet on the stairs could do with replacement.

The location is excellent and the Sunday night price a bargain. Room was decent size and clean, good to have plenty of tea and coffee. Breakfast in large basement area was also very good with a good continental selection. Only complaint is that the room was surprisingly warm and a bit stuffy even though it was a very cold night and the radiator was turned off. It would have been better for the windows to have been fitted with a restricted opening rather than sealed shut. Overall though this is a good place to stay.

Really nice Clean Hotel - nothing amazing but did not pay for anything amazing. Met all my expectations. The Wifi was not that fast - Could have been because a large number of people were using it

The Reception staff were excellent. I arrived on an early flight from Scotland and having contacted them on the previous day they had a room available for me when I arrived. The facilities were good and the breakfast good too. The room was very dark and the bed very uncomfortable.

good location could do with curtains rather than just blinds, very light at night trying to sleep as street lights shine through blinds into bedroom

On the plus side the shower was excellent. This is a budget hotel. It is not premium, therefore you get what you pay for. Small grubby old room. A lot of noise from the road from the poor fitting doors and windows, with lack of double glazing. A tv that belongs in a museum with a remote control that barely works. Pillows that are so thin they make wafers look fat.

Hotel's location is quite central four metro stations from the center (Piccadilly Circus). The employees were very prestable when we asked to leave our luggage in the hotel on our last day while we went for a final walk in London. When we arrived they gave us one first room that was quite claustrophobic, we could barely walk as there was no space with our luggage (two bags) on the floor. It was dirty, the window was broken and the bathroom was from the16th century and too small even for one person inside! Then obviously we have complained in the reception about the conditions and we asked for another room or we would required our money back and move to other hotel. They didn't gave us a new room straigh away because they told us that the hotel was full. 3 minutes later we had a new room with much better conditions which had only one inconvinient, it was at the 5th floor without elevator,I don't imagine how older people would carry the luggage till there! When someone used the water in this floor the noise from the pipes was ridiculous loud, if you are sleeping at 4am and your neighbour goes to the bathroom you will certainly notice it. The breakfast was poor but acceptable for the price paid. There is only internet access near the reception which is across the street and it didn't work properly, was down at least for 2 days. Congrats to the photographer who worked the rooms pictures, he did a notable job using photoshop!?!

We found the location excellent for what we wanted to see in London. The breakfasts were sufficient for our requirements. The seventy nine step climb to our room was a bit hard but I needed the exercise anyhow.

The room was basic, but had everything we wanted. There was even a good size fridge, and a safe. Hotel staff were friendly and happy to help. Location was good, close to two tube stations. The reception was across the road. When dropping the keys in and out you had to cross the road, which could be busty at times, and was inconvinent. There are only stairs, so be aware if you have limited mobility.

One of the cheapest hotel in centre including own bathroom and breakfast. It suprised me a lot! So cheap and so nice. I didin't expect that it will be so clean and comfortable with such a good service. I recommend to everyone! The only thing that I didn't like was a traffic there. At night you can hear cars outside, its not so calm and quiet but still you can close the window!

Very clean cosy and comfortable rooms. Tasty continental breakfast (unfortunately without ham or sausage) - cheese, toasts, cornflakes, eggs, butter, jam, croissant and so on. There is a kettle and tea/coffee bags in every rooms. Hotel is near the Kensington Garden and Hyde Park. The nearest tube station is Lancaster Gate. We will book it again) There is no wi-fi in rooms and there is no lift. It wasn't a problem for us, but for people with special needs or old people it will be.

great location right next to hyde park and lancaster gate tube - perfect for a short city break! laos pleasantly surprised with the fridge and dvd player in the room! not the most modern or romantic of places but if you're just after a great central location and would like to eat breakfast in one of the nice nearby sandwixh places it's good value for money. it has more character than your average travelodge and the size of the room was fine, but it is very, very old - carpet had a massive iron mark burned into it and was threadbare in places. also the bathroom was decent but full of limescale - the hotel could really use some renovating. the breakfast really wasn't spectacular either, but at least it was included in the price!

Location was good and the staff were friendly. The hotel was a budget hotel and fulfilled that role perfectly. Everything was low-cost and it was very cheap to stay there. No elevator, narrow rickety stairs, screeching floorboards, nearly-working utilities (water, safe) and just plain old. Good if you're on a tight budget but not suitable for families, elderly or anyone without the ability to climb five flights of stairs at least four times a day.

Situated beside Hyde Park, it was located perfectly for events in the park itself. The staff were friendly enough, wishing one of our party happy birthday on check in. Although the rooms (and bathroom) were on the small side, the price and location make up for it completely. Bathroom was pretty small, but the price and location made up for it. Disappointed with the breakfast, quite a poor selection of offerings.
