I have nothing favorable to say about this establishment. At best it is an "F" level motel. See my comments below. Do not stay here or any of the other hotels or motels owned by this conglomerate. They advertise as being within 11 miles of Heathrow and suck in unsuspecting travelers with early flights. They are really in the outskirts of London (at least a 1/2 hour from Heathrow with no traffic) and you would be better advised staying a reputable hotel in London. This is a sleazebag operation owned by sleasebag owner. This is one of a group of hotels in the area owned by the same conglomerate that cater and take advantage of unsuspecting travelers. It is a total rip off. They advertise their "hotels" as 4 stars...but I would have a hard time classifying their hotels as even hotels. My room was the size of a closet with a single bed. The bed, towels and sheets were terrible. The motel is not clean. Booking.com should not represent these hotels. You would be better off sleeping on a park bench!

Nothing at all. I made a big mistake by booking this hotel. I reached the hotel at 10pm and got a room at 2am. It took them four hours to get me a room.I Had booked two rooms and was travelling with an infant. I had booked a superior double bed room and they had intially given me a twin bed room. I checked in and I realised that I was cheated. I had to shout at the manager and the staff and all of them were helpless and did not help. They then showed me one double bed, which was gain very dirty and dingy. That night i was at the reception for four hours and each and every person that was there was facing similar issues. I could count atleast 10-12 customers who were yelling at the reception to get things sorted out. Booking.com is putting its reputation at stake by adding such kind of hotels to your list. Pls remove it. I will never want to stay here for free also.

The hotel called me with 4 hours notice to say I had been moved to another Best Western hotel in Moorgate due to maintenance. On arrival, I complained saying that location was the most important factor due to business appointments. They let me stay. My review would have been very different if they hadn't! So great appreciation to the reception staff and duty manager, thanks.

Location was great We were moved to their "sister hotel" and got a basement room. After querying this, we were moved to the hotel we actually booked at, i.e. Best Western Shaftesbury Paddington Court London. Do not get caught out like we were!

The superior double room my girlfriend and I initially stayed in was spacious, comfortable included a fridge and overlooked the Devonshire Terrace, brilliant. Unfortunately when drawing the curtain the rail fell off and couldn’t be fixed till the next day :(. After being shown various other rooms as an alternative and being disappointed about the relative size/space, etc compared to the original the manager offered one of the suites from a completely different category - essentially upgrading our stay. I must say this was an amazing gesture, and I had a brilliant stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, because even after going to a million different rooms the service we received and politeness of this service was superb! It appears nothing was too much to ask for and their dedication to my satisfaction of quality of room far exceeds many other hotel establishments from my past experience. I really don't carry any complaints about this hotel. One suggestion I would put forward is maybe having some promotional material explaining the room services such as internet, food etc - but the hotel staff were really friendly, polite and catered to our needs brilliantly.

Even though the rooms are fairly small it was ideal for a night stopover in London. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and rates were good but I did get a last minute rate.

The room had everything you needed. The noise from the other rooms was quite hearable. Sometimes it seemed that the people in the other room were standing in the same room as you. The closing (slamming) of doors could be heard throughout the hotel.

Proximity to the West End, good access to taxis, buses and the underground. Hardly any room to move around in the rooms. There was a lot of noise in the early hours from an adjoining mews, necessitating a room change.

Place was near Hyde Park and also Paddington Railway Station (with shuttle to Heathrow airport). Some restaurants close to the hotel (not very good though). Although we booked a Superior room, it was ridiculously small. Only one queen-size bed (135 cm) fitted in this room. The room was located in a street level floor, with "great" views to other mews. Breakfast was around 25 pounds (!!). Anyway, I did enjoy my visit to London.

Bedroom was good; coffee & tea in the room; good tv. No wireless internet in the rooms (we're in the modern age now, guys); bathroom was functional but spartan; hot water in the shower took 3-4 minutes to come out; bed was a little bit too small for me (I'm 1m85).

The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were comfortable and clean. I was disapointed that I had 2 delux twin rooms booked and only one of the rooms had complimentary robes, slippers, fruit and soft drinks. Both rooms were the same price so not sure why only one room had complimetary items in.

Good location for a reasonable price. The singelrooms are ok, but very small. Especialy the showercabinet. The personnel where friendly, but there were alot of missunderstandings. One that they canceled a booking for a friend that arrived a day later then first announced, even thought we clearly told them that he would arrive one day later. And then they insisted that it was our fault. Luckely we where abel to find a cheap room for him to stay that night not to far away from us. The breakfast area was very small, and we had to wait for 30 min - 1h two of the three day before we could get in to eat.

We booked online and when we arrived we got sent to another location up the road as they were doing work at the one we booked....we were given a twin room very small and cramped more like a queen as the two singles were joined together...so I had to sleep on the sofa... We also booked for an executive room which stated it included access to the lounge with free tea and coffee and flowers and food in the lounge but we did not see that or receive this? Also it stated we had free breakfast in the morning and my mum went to have this and all she got was a bowl of cerial half cup of tea and 1 slice of bread to which the waiter told her that would be 15 pound ... And when she stated its meant to be free he went off at her I front of other guests eating breakfast so mum got up shaking and upset and told the front desk who are the only nice and polite people in the hotel...and they said don't worry breakfast is on us... But it should have been free anyways as that was what it stated on the website and the room I was charged...all in all it was a terrible experience would not recommend it to anyone or stay there myself again.
