Nice bar with friendly staff

the bar was nice and food was good

when I arrived I was given the key to a room that wasn't made up,the room i was given was poor, bed base broken and the carpet hadn't seen a vacuum cleaner for a long time,no remote for the tv,no milk on the tea tray,on the second day I wasn't left a towel,there was plenty of hot water but the shower head was clogged up.When you ran the cold tap the water came out red hot for the first minute before running cold this is caused by the pipes been boxed in together without lagging and can be a contributory factor in legionella....

The price was good and the breakfast was good, room dated though bedding appeared clean.would pass on to others on price

The shower was not working only one milk left had to ask for more. Seemed a shortage of staff. Was bitten while there several bites, not sure if picked up there?

The staff were quite welcoming and friendly. Location very good. Cheap price.

Hotel very tired looking. No wi-fi, TV difficult to operate. You get what you pay for, so ok just for a couple of nights.

The staff are really helpful and pleasant, nothing is too much trouble. The food in the evening is great and well presented, and the chef is always nice and chatty. We like to sit in the bar, it has a nice atmosphere.

The room although big enough and comfortable could have been a bit cleaner.

Good price, dinner was very nice, breakfast also. The lady that does breakfast duty is always charming and helpful.

Not the fault of the hotel but the night I was staying there were a group of Northern persons who were slamming doors, pigeon baiting, ferret juggling and generally gobby into the early hours.

Cleanliness Cold shower

With an efficient booking I arrived with excellent direction signs. The car park was large and the reception staff very friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable, if a little warm - soon sorted. All the facilities were adequately explained and I had a very comfortable night. The breakfast was copious and well cooked. The service was amazing. To be recommended.

I had no problems. You get what it says on the tin with just a little bit more provided by the staff.

Location.

Dirty bedroom, stained carpets, broken electrical socket, bedside lamp that did not work and having to pay for room before I even saw it!. Gentleman on reception at check in needs to learn some customer service skills.

Very inexpensive and includes a good breakfast.

Service: kept waiting at reception to book in. Room: was changed after it had been allocated, must have had the worst room in hotel on top floor. Bar: expensive food: I passed on the breakfast as food not fresh, some items not cooked properly, had to keep asking staff (when you could find them) for items as they did not have enough to service everyone which meant other items were going cold while you waited. It is a budget hotel which runs on a less staff is cheaper thinking

Hotel needs serious updating, rooms could do with a good clean & service in the bar area was comical.

Express check in after late arrival. Excellent self serve breakfast.

Location to Aintree Racecourse best describes hotel for our visit. Traveled with my brothers and husband to Grand National. So really it was all about Location. Great value for money for what we wanted, a base to stay.

Room was clean and tidy on arrival and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was of good quality although bains marie could have been warmer and more attention paid to detail regarding replenishment of foodstuffs, glasses etc.

No service of the rooms during our stay, no light bulbs in bedside lamps, chair in room broken and although this was reported to hotel staff, nothing was done about it. No refreshment replenishment in room, milk that I had requested as there were no sachets was still in the room, sour, 3 days later, tea cups had side plates as saucers. Late night bar person was totally at sea about how to serve drinks.
