Good for a couple nights stay with lots to do and easy to visit other towns near by.
The rooms could do with a re vamp and a good clean.
Did not think we would enjoy a holiday camp - how wrong we were!!! We had a great weekend. Staff were very cheerful and pleased to assist. Food was much, much better than we expected - remember this is a holiday camp not a 5 star hotel. Food was hot, plentiful, reasonable choice and queues not too long. Facilities were excellent, chalet had fridge microwave, kettle and toaster and all china a cutlery. There was also a supply of coffee, tea sugar and whitener. We will definitely pay another visit
Towels and bathmat not supplied - luckily we had foresight to take our own. Would have been nice to be told beforehand.
We travelled with family and stayed for one night to attend a family party, but wished we could have stayed to experience the evening entertainment. But would very much like to return in the future.
We liked the location and proximity to the beach and amenities. The staff were helpful and all the good facilities on site were close at hand. We liked the sports and games including swimming facilities although we did not have enough time to make use of them all. There was plenty of food to go around also.
I did not like the shiny bed linen and the fact that there were no towels in our room. A bath mat would also have been useful. We asked for chairs which were brought to us by helpful staff promptly. Bar prices at night for bottles were not cheap. The two main course choices for dinner did not seem to change very much and the puddings were a bit bland. We would have made use of the Sea View Bar had it stayed open in the evening and not shut at 4 pm.
Facilities in room and food was excellent
Lumpy bed. Think they need to invest in mattress toppers.
You were not greedy with your bar prices and the in store prices were fair.
Toilet fans did not have a timed cut offs
Relaxing break. Food improving with every return we make ! Excellent value for money
Evening entertainment on this particular visit not for our generation ( 56 & 59 ) more for th over 70's
Staff friendly and helpful
Food. Swimming pool cleanliness. Swarms of ants in apartment. Rubbish entertainment, particularly Best of British Wrestling, god help the rest of us, but it made the Bingo look exciting. Restaurant queues. Childrens arcade redemption of tickets.
Dinner and breakfast was much better than expected. Entertainment in the evening. Bar prices very cheap (compared to other places) No wonder the place was packed!
Bed springs poking through mattress. Hot water tank running all night (didn't stop until 6 am) I am slightly deaf but kept me awake and I was Very tired!
The food was very plentiful and tasty..good wholesome cooking. Serving staff were so patient with customers and obliging. Some of the evening entertainment was first class. Blue coats were talented and willing. Chalet was newly decorated and new fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave. Bedding new, comfortable and clean. Holiday park well tended. Price of alcoholic drinks cheap during happy hour 11am to 7pm!! The price of our stay was very cheap and fantastic value for money!
Plastic covered mattress..yuck! Sweaty and rather narrow. Adjoining door to next chalet is paper thin!! Noisy neighbours caused friction and disturbed night. Needs walling up with soundproof material. Bingo each night, but it was popular with most people. Mix up with a requirement to bring own bedding and towels but Booking.com guests don't need to at present. I sent a query by email which was not answered.
food, entertainment, club chalet, all good!
bed was a bit small, need more choice of beers,
The manager tried to be helpful.
1. Arrival: Customer service from hell. 2. Access to accommodation: No where to put the car within walking distance/suitcase carrying distance of the chalet. 3. Back to Arrival: CS from H: "Park in the field" Q. "How do we get to the field?" Reply: "its the big green thing over there". There was no access to the field except by a locked gate. My disabled husband (a right leg amputee with sever osteoarthritis in the left leg) needed to rest. I explained this to C S from H. Reply from C S from H: "You should have thought about that before you came". 4. Senior management intervention: Suggested we drove the car over the grassed/planted area between the chalets (over pedestrian foot paths, round trees etc. ) to access the chalet. 5. Accommodation: The chalet was filthy, there were bags of rubbish on the floor and a fridge with stale food and left overs. The toilet/bathroom had bot been cleaned. The beds were unmade and revealed mattresses that were beyond disgusting. 6. Negotiation: Our position: We needed somewhere where we could rest and relax as soon as possible. The time frame for this as suggested by the management was entirely unreasonable as it involved preparing the chalet to a reasonable standard of cleanliness and comfort and providing access that was safe and within HSE guidelines. As that could not be achieved we wanted a full refund so we could move on. This was not within the manger's gift. 7. Analysis: This was an hotel experience from hell. As an Ealing comedy we would not have found it funny. Finding alternative accommodation was truly challenging and if we had not found a wonderful Travel Lodge employee in Norwich who, late that same evening, went the extra mile to find us a B & B for the night we would have been sleeping in the car. These people should not be allowed to operate a holiday accommodation service.
the food was good the staff were helpful the units were clean and the location was good close to the beach the camp was laid out nicely the entertainment was of high standard and the other guests were nice people it was a nice relaxing weekend well done to the staff for making it so
The fact it was Enroute to great yarmouth.
No chairs in chalet. Had to sit on bed, I had requested accommodation near amenities for my disabled daughter. We were placed furthest away. We could not eat at the restaurant because there was no way could we race or stand in the enormous que at meal times and tend to our disabled daughter, very disappointed with the booking, advertised as hotel but nothing more than a uncomfortable chalet. My daughter was very unhappy with her holiday, even though we paid for food, we had to eat out elsewhere as the dining hall was just a rat race scenario, where some people were like animals. My child was quite traumatised by this experience.
children's evening entertainment Food was good. the characters were often on walkabout. access to beach good lifeguards staff friendly and helpful
very long queues for food not much to do during the day other than bingo Several facilities closed poor beer selection. hard to find seats in the evening no disabled sitting area in the restaurant. cigarette ends outside chalets. thin walls in chalet mean you can hear neighbours clearly
On the whole very good
4pm check in time is too late
Able to be completely independent and private, no interference from staff or other guests. Food, location, choice to be away from other people,. brilliant value for money
Although relatively new, the main lounge bar feels very dated and gloomy, not a place to relax with a drink. The new sea view bar is great however. No one on reception on arrival at 6pm. Had to go back to Security at gate to collect keys and check in. .
Entertainment on site, selection of food
Accommodation requires up dating
Food, beds, room,
Food and choice of food was excellent. Basic room with ensuite was adequate. Location was lovely. Overall really liked everything and will go back.
Reception needs to be marked clearer and the fact that you can park on the yellow lines outside to book in. Also made clearer that no towels supplied, but bed linen is supplied.
The rooms were not newly refurbished as described on your website I found them inhabitable and had to arrange to stay eleven miles away in Great Yarmouth, beds were not made a pile of bed linen left at the foot of the bed not sure what colour the carpet was as there were so many stains. Bathroom dirty stains all around the floor and the bath was a large sink. Stunk of disinfectant report to on duty manager and handed back my keys. Who said I would need to contact Booking.com and Pontins direct
double room had microwave toaster and kettle， good hot shower， extra 2 bunk beds， easy parking
mattresses too springy， bed linen too thin but brand new， no towels provided
Long queues for food.
Value for money you get a good breakfast and dinner , the drinks are cheap , accommodation isn't great but over all well worth going and nice beach pretty much on site
Bed was uncomfortable
Breakfast was really nice
Poor cleanliness in our challet bathroom; mouldy grout; thick dust on skirting & toilet tempremental flush. No remote control for very dated television. Dinner was manic; pudding should be brought out a little later than dinner to stop people piling up plates with deserts & hogging everything before choosing their dinner & leaving limited choice for everyone else. Showers in swimming pool were so ice cold that we was unable to use them. Pool closed on one occasion for cleaning.
