Fantastic all round. Very enjoyable.
the hotel is in a good spot with an uninterrupted view over the bay,we stayed at the front with a very small balcony, the room was an o k size and clean the bed was comfortable, when the sliding doors were opened the traffic noise was quite loud, but o k, this is the second time we have stayed here and we will stay again, the buffet breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice the evening meals were equaly good.
nothing not to like the food was good although I would not like to stay at the back overlooking the car park and extractors.
The staff were very helpfull especially the cleaning lady on the fourth floor.
Chairs at night in bar were very hard to get unless you come early .also they were very uncomfortable to sit on. No reading room .,the toilet in 404 was very hard to flush. It had to be mended.
friendly helpful staff, great breakfast, great value for money
dated bathroom, needs refurb, lots of noisy groups staying there, no facilities nearby like shops, restaurants etc, ugly look
Food good, bit of atmosphere. Everyone very friendly. Swimming pool.
Beds could have been more comfy. Got no sleep Saturday for noise, someone banging on door across the way, felt like our door being banged bit frightening
First room we had was not good - noisy and smelly but we were given a better room which was smart, clean and had good views. casino was fun.
A little far from other venues, night club was not as advertised. Be careful when you book - other guests had a much better deal than we did if they had booked later - this can't be right!
Convenient location. Adequate parking.
This is supposedly one of the top three hotels on the Island. It's listed facilities were all there as advertised but something was missing . . . attention to detail. We noticed a number of items which in themselves were quite minor but taken together indicated an absence of pride in the quality of service - particularly as we had book a superior room. For example: the toilet seat in our bathroom was cracked; the room wall-lights were askew; the, already limited, hanging space in the wardrobe was severely compromised by the stored ironing board and iron; there were only two drawers to store clothes; at breakfast coffee was served in a cracked coffee pot (twice).
Reception area a nd entrance.
Reception staff and cleaners always pleasant bar and casino staff less pleasant.
I booked a table on my last night and got put by the middle of the room. Not happy. Pool look a little tired and generally unclean.
Central Location with plenty of parking. View from bedroom. The staff were attentive and helpful. A good range of facilities on offer.
The decoration and fixtures and fittings are showing their age. No provision of a brush in the bathroom.
Bar and restaurants
Noise. Casino/nightclub attracted a lot of noisy people in car park! Building, while inside tidy, outside looked like my old high school before it was demolished - surprising!
the food is very good but it has been on each visit and the swimming pool is great just incase the weather is not.
Clean throughout location with car park location to port and town centre room sizes
poor lumpy mattress which was stained, poorly fitting sheets outside featureless with no gardens or flowers not value for money
Staff more than helpful Food top notch Breakfast plentiful right up to 10 a,m, Pool and staff in health club very good
Its central location and sea view
Advertised as room with balcony which was actually only 2 foot wide. The whole hotel felt it lacked love and attention. Staff not overly friendly. Had to change rooms for last night because of late night noise from adjoining room 2 nights running.
Location great and good breakfast
Noise from nightclub till very late and noise from vents at rear of hotel. If you stay here get a top floor room! With sea view!
We recommend room with balcony and sea view , it made the stay reasonable. Hotel in serious need of refurbishment , however breakfast was great
Also booke 2 standard rooms which were not so good, shower did not work in one room the bathroom not cleaned properly from previous occupant in other.
I thought the facilities were ok bedroom wasn't bad, pool was nice and the bar/restaurant,and it was on the sea front.
The hotel is an eyesore from outside very run down, you also have to enter at reception around the back off the hotel which is even worst as that's near the bin areas, not nice, in real need of a proper revamp!!! Also the bathrooms are too small and the toilet is facing the bath, god help slightly larger ppl!!!
We would be there for 9 months more due to work. But the wifi internet is useless.
Internet useless. That's why we don't go there and we booken in to the impress for next 8 months on business
It is almost the only hotel in Douglas with parking available.
The hotel is in steady decline. I have stayed 3 years running because of it's parking and position and the standard has dropped each year. The restaurant is now seriously overpriced and the food overcooked. Staff whose English is limited do not help!!
Cleanliness. Free parking Reasonable access to 'Central' Douglas
Cost Very dated style & decor Food not to personal taste, but the buffet breakfast was quite plentiful
food and friendliness of stakk
fairly hard bed.
Restaurant and breakfast Staff very helpful. Lovely receptionist very helpful
Noisy when people leaving Casino in early hours. Hence lack of sleep. Spoilt a lovely weekend
Loaded with amenities and pretty good location
noise from the bottles being emptied below in trhe morning
