Not much really apart from location On enterance the hotel looked grand and inviting that is until we went into our room, which smelt musty looked like it had not been decorated in years and didn't look like any of the pictures on the website that we viewed when booking the room. While we we there we had to ask to change the items on the drinking facility tray, they looked like they had been there for years and the packets were dirty and broken !!!!! The window frames were disgusting and covered in cobwebs and we couldn't open the windows at all ! Which may of been a good sign considering trains were going past throughout the day. We even didn't want to hang our clothes in the wardrobe incase it made them smell too much What annoys me the most is we chose this hotel from viewing their website. The pictures looked really inviting but our room was obviously not taken to promote any room for this hotel!!!!

Very disappointed with quality of evening meal served at Manchester Univ. Football Club dinner. In past vegetables were on a help yourself basis. 2 small potatoes served and meat was overcooked. Poor value for £40 per head.

The Palace hotel conveyed the experience of comfort and excellence, through helpful staff, services, easily accessible facilities, central location to the city centre and an affordable price of the room. I mostly enjoyed the architectural structure of the hotel itself, alongside the indoor decor. The experience as a whole was very pleasant and I would definitely return without hesitation!! The Service was let down by 2 members of staff at the reception desk during check in.

Understand the towel signs they do save the environment! Would recommend but only as an OK hotel that's has a convienient location.

Good room and good location The hotel was hosting several functions on the night. The room was above one of the main rooms and was very noisy until approx 1-30 am. Despite speaking to the duty manager, nothing was done. If the hotel do have functions on then the people attending those functions should be given the rooms directly above the rooms being used so as not to disturb other hotel guests. The hotel manager was not very sympathetic and it made the stay not as good as experience as it would have been otherwise. Always check where your room is before booking !

The good staff, the ambience, space, style, welcome, bath and bathroom, bedroom, facilities Inflexible air conditioning ie On = noisy; Off = hot and stuffy. And not possible to open any windows in such a beautiful room, otherwise silent at the back of the hotel. Useless, expensive internet connection. No wifi. I only go to hotels that have free wifi as standard; this was a mistake = an hour on the phone to their techies before I could send four emails, entering your name, details and address every time you connect! Nobody does it like that any more. It's archaic and they need to update asap

The location was perfect for our visit to Manchester. We visited the Palace theatre and enjoyed a days shopping in the City centre. Idealy located for local bars and pubs. The car parking facilities were also a bonus.

Architecture of the building, efficiency of the staff. Bed was somewhat bowed, as if it was an old mattress but overall it was very comfortable.

The restaurant decor was very pleasing. The food was excellent. The pre-theatre dinner offer was very reasonably priced. The price of drinks was high. A standard glass of wine was over £5. The room was a bit chilly and the heating did not seem to be effective.

Comfortable bed, good bathroom, well placed for gmex centre. Breakfast choices were excellent, even for ppl with dietary requirements. On arrival the lift was out of action. I am disabled, and was there for ms Life, so was not the only disabled person there. The route from reception to lift was up/down/up stairs. Had to call reception twice. Once a non-working lamp. It needed plugging in, but the socket is hidden behind a heavy desk. I could not have shifted it. 2Nd the shower did not drain. Engineer fixed it.
